Today in the studio Dillard and I welcome the very talented Ryan Leone. Leone has an amazing story of the struggle and misfortune he faced throughout his life. Through those struggles, he was able to create the novel "Wasting Talent" which captivates its readers and leaves them wanting more.

I'm listening to this in 2024. I've been binge listening to Ryan's videos, the last few months or so, while I work on my art projects. I'll have 9 years clean off of opiates/illegal substances February 5th. My heart breaks for the loss of this brilliant, beautiful man. His soul will never ever die. He has made such a healing mark on this planet, the addicts, the former and current prison population, the weirdos, the artists in every facet, and so many more. He is a legend. I will always have his wife and children in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in sweet peace, Ryan Leone. You are greatly missed and greatly loved. May your divine light shine on us eternally. ❤

I love how Ryan stands up for suboxone and people who take it. Some people can be druggies and junkies but a lot of us aernt. I'm a sober and clean ex heroin addict who takes suboxone and its a life saver. A lot of us who take it are good people who contribute to society. I hate the stigma it has and i hate how you have to be embarrassed and ashamed about taking it so it means a lot to me that ryan is standing up for it.

You are right and I’m not arguing anything but anyone that takes Suboxone longer than one year is still an addict because they need some thing. I am that person I’ve been on Suboxone for like 13 years now buying it off the streets and yes, I quit heroin back in 2010 but now I am addicted to this other medicine, I had to kick Suboxone once back in 2013 and it was while in jail and I did not sleep through the night for 15 days. I was only taking like 1/3 of an 8 mg strip per day so I wasn’t super saturated, but yeah, it sucked, I couldn’t lie still and I was so fidgety and my bunk mate below me got so aggravated so I had to switch banks and it was horrible and I did not tell the jail because I was on a probation hold and I did not want my PO to know I was on that type of stuff

Even after getting sober it mite take years, you may never break yourself of them habits and just the way you carry yourself everyone will still think your getting high!! Gotta give this man a chance GIVE him the benefit of doubt. You'll nva understand how much others opinions affect someone trying to get or stay clean!!

@@benjackson9299 Damn that video was weird lol. Yeah I figured he went off the deep end when he stopped uploading content about a month or 2 ago. I cant hate on him though he has accomplished way more than most addicts. The way I see it, theres 2 types of addicts in the world. There's the kind that can take drugs in moderation, staying relatively stable, while holding down a job, etc.. then they can put down the drugs whenever they want. Then on the other hand, theres the addicts that take one hit of something and by the end of the week they've lost their job, pawned half their belongings and generally go all out crazy with it. I guess Leone is the latter. When I do drugs (weed, benzos, and opiates) they make me more productive wanting to get shit done. But I make sure to always take a few days off every so often to give my body and brain a chance to get back to baseline.

Jordan good luck with trying to kick the subs right now bro! I've been taking subs for the last 2 weeks, I keep going back and forth between that and oxy. not really sure what to do.🤷‍♂️ it's definitely a cycle... a script of oxy lasts me like 3 days (supposed to last 30)... then I go to "alternatives" until I can refill... ugh... subs are definitely the lesser evil of all those alternatives though. the poppy has gotten many good souls into quite a salty pickle. 🤔🤧

@kineticblues2766
@kineticblues2766 4 жыл бұрын
DeadHead75 Michigan yea, I've known people who have went into it, but I've been lucky enough to avoid it. I attribute it to my timing. I wait at least 12 to 16 hours after last dose of oxy to start the sub, and by then I'm already sneezing, etc... but then when I go back to oxy it's all a matter of waiting for the block to lift, or I end up wasting so much of the med... usually I'll just take a little liquid morphine or whatever I can find for 3 to 4 days while the block is still there so I don't waste all of my oxy.... it's weird, cos even when the block is still there I still feel sick so the liquid morphine staves off some of it while I wait out the block and it allows me to somewhat function during my days.

I felt the part where Ryan opened up to his therapist only to have her contact his PO. Doctor patient confidentiality (HIPAA laws) do protect your anonymity but that doesn’t apply under certain laws. Best example is that if you say you want to hurt yourself or others then law enforcement has to immediately be contacted. In Ryan’s case under probation and parole you have like 72 hours to report any new charges or run ins with law enforcement. In this case the therapist would be legally seen as allowing and even assisting Ryan to evade the police.

Man, I REALLY like Ryan, although, from listening to his prison stories on his channel he sounds like the most UNSOLID inmate, ever. Like when he had that crazy debt but pulled it off at literally the last second. Outside of prison he sounds like a HUGE BRAT! But damn, he showed a lot of humility in this interview. Even without this particular interview - I still like him. I don’t know what it is but he does have a redeeming quality, or two. I don’t know how, I don’t know what I see, personally, the jealousy issues with his girl, his selfishness... I guess he reminds me of myself in some ways. I just didn’t have near the glamorous life. I still battle the alcohol battle , I definitely depend on subs…
