I had a similar experience in the county jail coming off Xanax and fentanyl I was so fucked off they put me in solitary and I legit thought I was on a boat in the middle of the ocean and anytime the guard would come I’d say I’m sea sick captain. They ended up sending me to the hospital for a medical detox

I was never suicidal until, like you, I was forced to detox off of methadone and benzos at the same time. I was on 100mg done and 8mg pins/ day but I’m a girl and 5’3” & only 100lbs at the time. I prayed for death for 2 months straight. Was that the only time I went through that literal hell? No, of course not because I insist on learning things the hardest way possible, multiple times. The way you described screaming for help in MDCLA reminded of that scene from Requiem for a Dream with Jared Leto and Marlon Wayans when they’re in jail.

I just had a baby but I peed myself laughing so hard (while holding my sleeping baby). I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time... and I mean this in the most positive way. Also not laughing at you at all or the situation but your descriptions of poop and the nurses/“doctors”... I literally keep bursting out laughing just thinking about what I heard. I'm going to clarify here, some junkies give the best advice. Straight up. Way better than a Dr in many circumstances, especially in regards to medication. I honestly wish I listened to junkies early on in my addiction. Everything they warned against eventually came true. For one they told me not to tell my Dr I was using. I was naive AF and was red flagged early on becauseI didn't listen. To this day that bites me in the ass. I have a clean record. So if it wasn't for my medical file ....no one would know I'm in recovery ( other than track marks) This Dr just kicked me out of the practice. The Dr didn't even tell me about NA/AA , treatment or resources. He literally said "oh you should stop " then I got a discharge letter in the mail. At that time I had no idea how to get off drugs. I was hardly an addict at that point. 😆 I went to get help and left accepting the fact , this is my new way of life ! I honestly thought the system was there to help 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.... things spiraled from there.. Junkies also told me MAT was a liquid leash. If it came down to it , to this day I would listen to a junkie over a Dr when talking about meditation or drugs . Western medicine failed me completely!!! Not just for addiction but for health complications as well. They only push drugs for profit...Most Dr have no idea about pharmaceuticals, contraindications, street drugs, addiction etc ... you're better off listening to the streets or do your own research 😆 Don't knock that street knowledge. I've corrected many pain clinc Dr's , that had to apologize later on for being dead wrong. 😆 Especially back when Drs were telling everyone suboxone is a blocker and subutext is not. That's the biggest misconception. Buprenorphine is a blocker in the corrected dosage. Ive actually been prescribed oxy and buprenorphine at the same time.. which is a common pain clinc combo for break through pain ...however addiction Drs are taught to use scare tactics . I get so annoyed when I get a new Dr thats not knowledgeable in " alternative" usages of buprenorphine. You can take both, just take the stronger medication first usually the buprenorphine. As long as your receptors are not full you can add a weaker opiod without PWD and it will offer pain relief. Its a little more complex than that. . But now Im off topic with my ADHD lol ..

Put it this way. I was forced by my clinic to cold turkey 65 MGs and i can truely say it was the worst ive gone thru by far. Id kick heroin 3 times in a row before that

I kicked 180mg in Ventura county. They kept me in suicide watch watch for 4 weeks. Or there is no doubt in my mind that I would have killed myself. I can back up everything you've been saying. Kicking 180 my of methadone is pure madness no other human could understand unless you go through it. Add pulls and other narcotics compounds the withdrawal symptoms to a point that is brutal.

I know a pinch about what your talking about bro. I kicked Opiates in MCJ in downtown. I only did 27 days when I got my deal and it was the worst. They gave gave me the staple. Robaxin, clonidine, and Benedryl. It helped just to curb tha withdrawals enough so I could be normal. Love your channel Bro!!

This video is great… this makes me terrified to come off methadone.. I just started last month after almost 7 years of active addiction..my dose is at 85 mg. They cap you off at 100 mg. I don’t think I’ll request anymore increases however by night time I have the saucer pupils going and feel like I’m burning up.. I don’t understand it. I’ll probably be on it the rest of my life Bc I’m not trying to put myself through that. Congrats to you and your sobriety & recovery. It’s truly an inspiration for me. Not a MD or medical personnel of any kind, but in a pinch, I have personally found that Imodium AD helps with withdrawal from most opiates, including methadone. Needs to be taken on an empty stomach, with 8 oz of white grapefruit juice. In my experience, it did not take nearly as much is rumored either. Probably depends on the size of your habit tho. Just some personal insight, NOT medical advice.

We don't have fent really in UK heard of it a few times but 97% of the time it's heroin the highest methadone dose I know of is 100mg/ml I'm on 80mg/ml is the reason Americans are on such massive doses because fent is stronger

I came off of 185mg split dosage of methadone , back in the day ( I relapsed early on after getting off though) but now im stuck on buprenorphin. Im down to 1mg but stuck..... For some reason I can't get off , maybe its because I've been clean for so long .. Im older now , I just don't have it in me anymore.. I also have other health issues so maybe thats why. I was better off never getting on MAT. I've never had to kicked H for longer than a day I always had supply but this buprenorphine sucks. I've been trying to get off for 5 years !! Who can tapper off methadone but not buprenorphine lol .. . I guess dabbling helped more than I thought . Im mad I stayed on MAT this long. My parents told me methadone was a liquid leash ....wish I listened...that goes for buprenorphine too. I even detoxed off Xanax and other pills. Methadone and buprenorphine are by far the hardest for me.
