Septa SL5 RFW ride on train

We travel from just outside from Suburban Station in Philadelphia along Amtrak’s NE Corridor to Newark, Delaware. Once south of Wilmington, these marvelous Silverliner V’s kick up to 90mph. All passing trains, stations, interlockings, and signals are identified. We get a glimpse of the brand new Claymont, Delaware station that opened in early December 2023.

I think its time to add a 4th track between Wilmington and Newark/ Perryville. Especially, if MARC starts service to Wilmington.

I enjoy your cab rides. Many, many years ago I saw your cab ride through Cumberland, MD to Washington, DC on the Capitol Limited.

I've been to the new Harris B. McDowell III Claymont Transportation Center before! We started there to go to the final day of the Philly Auto Show. We didn't have to worry about getting on and off the train when it tilted, as compared to the old station!

[9:45] PHIL Interlocking: SEPTA's Wilmington - Newark (Delaware) Line and Amtrak's Northeast Corridor merge south towards Darby Station. Also, SEPTA's Airport Line and Amtrak's Northeast Corridor merge north.

I'm not a fan of low-level platforms, I believe all train stations should have high-level platforms like the LIRR. That way all stations are ADA compliant, and commute times are faster. I was born the same year the ADA was signed in 1990, and I take it to heart even though I'm ambulatorily fine, I'm still neurologically disabled with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and saves me from being subject to discrimination. I wanted the remaining Babylon Branch stations to get elevators for years, and the remaining four will be ADA compliant in a few months (Lindenhurst, Copiague, Amityville, and Massapequa Park).

With how much you complain about the North White Plains Locals I expected more here. When I pass by on Amtrak it's pretty much a station every 15 seconds. I'm surprised people even make it out alive by the time they're in Newark. 1 hour and 7 minutes from Philly to Newark DE and Amtrak would get you there in about 35 but of course it's more expensive. You could get to Newark NJ on a Keystone faster than this thing gets to Newark DE. jokes aside, always love these cab rides.

I love cab rides no matter what speed it’s going within reason. They prove educational to many. NY to Babylon is about as far and takes about the same time.

No, these are fare paying areas , a lot of people use key cards

Newark, Delaware is the only city that has 14 other Newarks, but pronounced NEW-ARK. LOL. 😁😂🤪🤣🤭🙃🥴😳🙄🤦🤷👌
