I think the Joker vibes are certainly intentional (I mean, her colour scheme alone), but, having heard some of her interactions in-game, where I think they do a good job of distinguishing Alter is that she barely reads as cruel. Rather there’s just a sincere lack of empathy. Her bio says that she’s been dimension hopping from a young age and over time it essentially eroded any concept of attachment to people and places that she might have had. No consequences, and infinite retries!

So basically we know nothing about her lore, we only have snipets to speculate with. We are hinted to belive Alter is Wraith, but she is the subject 0, that can warp between dimensions and apprently because of Horizon device that she made in the future, that is now in her possesion from future, she caused anomalies that destroyed other dimensions that Alter used to live in and now she wants revenge, or that's just idea. There is also option she hunts all Apex Legends from all dimensions, as those characters she kills look like Crypto, Gibby, Mirage and Conduit from different dimension and other soccer players are all wraiths. edit. Also i heared voice actress is same as in one of Deprixions adult animations :3

The animation style is somewhere between anime and Don Bluth, and I'm here for it.

Oh, don't worry about Apex, I've played it since the start, EA already had its corrupting hands on Respawn and it's already been brutalised at every turn despite being one of the best Battle Royales out there, spear headed by THE Titanfall team of all people. It'll definitely be fine, definitely no coping in that statement, trust me.

The problem with the apex lore is that they don't spend enough time going from point a to b, so everything feels rushed.

I would LOVE to see you reacting to the trailers and stories from the outlands, and even some of the event ones (Shadowfall especially). The lore is phenomenal, if only the game wasn't corrupted by EA

Apex lore is a blabbering mess, as fun as the characters can be and as good as the art direction can see at times the actual LORE is horrendous, lots of contradictions, things that just don’t line up and aren’t addressed it’s just not handed well in the slightest.
