In this step-by-step modeling tutorial, we’re designing a plastic chair for injection molding. To get all the organic shapes on point, our CAD expert, Wayne State Industrial Design Professor Claas Kuhnen, first imported a mesh model for reference. Using Shapr3D’s Section View, he cut it in half to get a better view and then modeled the individual building blocks. The last step was assembling the chair and adding the fine details.
