Croc holds a special place in my heart, so excited they're remaking it

Banjo-Kazooie, Mario, Rayman, Psychonauts, Crash, Donkey Kong, Gex and Oddworld (not sure if those are considered platformers) all have great games in their series, Conkers Bad Fur Day is great and unique too. 3D platformers aren’t really popular these days in the AAA world outside of a few and are more in the indie space where there are some really good ones.

The Banjo Kazooie games also had confusing hub worlds. I say this as someone who didn't grow up with the old games and don't have the locations of each world memorized. Also, the problem with your review of Sonic Adventure, is that you're reviewing the Xbox 360 version, and each remaster of this game has unfortunately gotten progressively worse. What you should be playing is the original Dreamcast version, as that's the least broken of all releases of the game. Don't get me wrong, some of your points are still valid in that version, but if you were to play any of them, that's the one you should be playing. The same goes for the sequel, and the original Wii version of Sonic Colours, which actually does have controller support.

Kinda mad Blinx and Blinx 2 wasnt featured at all

The SNES and N64 were my entire childhood. My personal favorites were Star Fox 64, Pokémon Snap, and Diddy Kong Racing.

A neat fact about why Rocket: Robot on Wheels' platforming feels so good to do is likely it was designed by SuckerPunch Studios, the same studio who made the Sly Cooper series.

N64 emulation is in a good spot nowadays, especially now that paraLLEl plugin hit the scene. I would give game a try first on an emulator, which would then be easy to record. Even a more niche game like Rocket: Robot on Wheels should run perfectly on RetroArch with mupen64plus(-next) core (with parallel enabled) according to some reports. Thanks for the comfy watch! Liked the mix of well-known and obscure titles.

mario64 - amazing how many stuff they nailed in this game in their first 3d game. genius devs. maybe the most important 3d game ever along with gta 3.

When platformers went 3D I pretty much lost all interest in the genre. Mario 64 was game changing and very mystifying, but I didn't care for the environments and sparce levels. I'm just now getting into 3D action platformers on the PS2 era, and i do like them. The levels were vast and highly detailed with tons of set-pieces, structures, and nature. Next im going to go back to the 32bit generation and check out some of the 3D platformers I missed out on

Tak and the power of Juju, Ty the Tasmanian tiger, a hat in time, tinykin, demon turf, hell pie, Toy Story 2, ape escape, Spyro, blue fire, Okami, the PlayStation and GameCube Harry Potter games, mort the chicken, epic Mickey, scooby doo: night of 100 frights, jimmy neutron attack of the twonkies, Chibi robo, and Billy Hatcher are (mostly) all good ones.

I cannot recommend croc 2 enough, they got rid of the tank controls, fleshed out the world, and it's just a better game in general. Croc holds a very special place in my heart though

I guess if you are doing a part 2 of 3d platformers, there's titles like: Pseudoregalia 😳 Corn Kidz 64 Cavern of Dreams Toree 2(it is short, but it's nice. but maybe this doesn't fit in 3d platformer category, or doesnt have enough 3d platforming in it) Lunistice(has guest character Toree. But this game like Toree and some other games below is more like tracks/stages rather than 1 whole location and sub-locations separated by load zone) Super Kiwi 64 Macbat 64 Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom Penny's Big Breakaway (probably more 3d action adventure. with tracks/stages format, not a free-roam with areas separated by entrance/loading zones) Dadish 3D (the dev was doing 2d games previously) Conbunn Cardboard (character isnt 3d. dont know enough other than collect CDs. It's part of the plot. also, the CD covers are pretty 😳 ) Spark the Electric Jester 3(based on 0:18 - 0:28, Spark 3 is more 3d action adventure) A Hat in Time (maybe 3d action adventure? but the mafia that is being whacked isnt really the main focus... so maybe 3d platfomer) Bomb Rush Cyberfunk( and thus also Jet Set Radio/Future . ) then some more others(mostly 3d action adventure): Sly Cooper (3d action adventure) Ratchet and Clank (3d action adventure) Celeste 64 (that's a surprise) Buck Bumble (3d action adventure) Also, I see there's Morrigan in thumbnail of "A - Z of PS2 Hidden Gems - N". There's probably a "Namco X Capcom" in that vid. (I haven't viewed it yet) also, as of this writing, I can see one other comment with a few suggestions.

Im currently playing Glover and loving it (also getting frustrated at certain parts) i think its very unique and underrated.

For Sonic Adventure, the HD version is much worse than the original Dreamcast version. It’s mainly the controls that are the issue, since the game has a strong bias towards 8-directional movement, making the twitchiness quite a bit stronger. There’s secondary things too, like the graphics being majorly downgraded, and potentially some more bugs than the original. It’s still a janky game with some major design flaws and not a lot of substance no matter where you play it, but on the Dreamcast it’s easier to appreciate the little bit of good in the game.

I liked the video, just talking about 20 3D platformer games without knowing if they are good or bad, old or new. Super magenitc neo is a great game, I played it as a kid on dreamcast a forgotten game because it's from Dreamcast but seriously it's a very good game.

Whoever told you to play the HD version of Sonic Adventure should be shot, on the Dreamcast it's a more enjoyable experience, still jank and I doubt it'd be enough to change your mind much on the game but more visually pleasing and less glitchy.

SA1 on X-Box 360 is a worse experience. Most of those clipping issues didn't happen in the DC original. The port has MAJOR issues.
