Great video....Im only a few months into 3d printing with alot to learn...just the past week i had on my Ender 3 V2 i had massive under extrusion issues..I thought it was clogs..but FINALLY think I narrowed it down to the extruder spring tension screw was loose and didnt have the tension it needed to feed filament

Having the proper tension on the rollers is a good thing to go over I went to a friends house that was having issues and I found that his rollers were way too tight having them just snug enough not to free spin but not enough for things to get wobbly is best. After re-adjusting the rollers and belts his layer shifting ended. 👍.

What about under extrusion (I think that's what it's called)? My layer lines when printing on the bed, seem to have "gaps" between them...but only in spots...

Very useful! I’m gonna have to go through a basic maintenance on mine bed was level and I was cleaning the dust around the bottom and managed to unlevel it and now no matter what I do I can get the bed level on one side the nozzle goes straight into the bed and unseats the extruded from the belt.

Check your z axis. It’s probably off level by a touch. Use a spacer from the frame and manually adjust the steppers till you can clear the spacer to each side. Then relevel the bed.
@Guapogiboy
@Guapogiboy 2 жыл бұрын
One thing that was happening on my ender 3 pro was the z axis limit switch. Sometimes it would click twice (as it should) and sometimes just once. Then thinks it’s good. If it does not click twice when it homes it is always too far from the bed. Turns out this switch can sometimes get dusty and affect this function. Once I figured this out I haven’t had to level since. I just gave it a few bursts of air from a can to clean. If that does not work it maybe time to replace that limit switch.

One thing I'd recommend is spending a few more bucks on higher quality replacement fans for your printers. You really do get what you pay for: high airflow, low noise and good longevity. The $10 packs of WINSINN fans on Amazon are cheap, but they're also loud, and they fail annoyingly often. I've also come to love BMG-style extruders, and use the Trianglelab ones. You have to run a bit of gcode to load/unload filament quickly when changing it, but they don't grind the filament, grip it super well, and have so much torque! Partial clogs are no match for those.
