This is a video that discusses the various ways to set-up a plane for three different flying disciplines, low and slow 3D, XA and precision aerobatics. While there is no definitive way to a plane that will fit everyone, this video discusses the three different flying disciplines and the common characteristics that are included with each type of set-up.

Everything is good. Especially for people like me. I like to learn more about 3D and maneuvers.

You really did a great job with this. I do a lot of training vids. I think you are one of the few I have seen that is giving good information. There is way too much bad stuff out there. Some laughable with a lot of views and subscribers. Thanks for the contribution to the hobby.

Thanks Michael that means a lot. I’m trying to do something a bit different and share some of the tribal knowledge that’s not commonly found. Your comment just made my day.

@@RC-Air I am never in a competitive spirit with anyone doing similar stuff. I would be more likely to see good substantive content and promote that people watch it. If pilots are successful, they buy planes, influence more new pilots and grow the hobby. THanks again

That’s good to hear. The hobby is way too small to be petty. It’s about sharing the knowledge that matters. I’m pretty proud of my hover and torque roll video and the harrier video. They’re worth checking out. I think they have some value.

Thanks man, I needed to hear that. It’s hard to know if this stuff is helping or worthwhile. Please let me know if you have any subjects that you would like covered.

I am a first year RC pilot; I fly at least a dozen packs a week average. Michael Cline of Michigan has flying videos, which I am inspired by. How should I set up my E-flite T-28 1.1m trojan and E-flite RV-7 1.1m models to get the flight envelope and performance-- that Michael is getting in his models? How would the AMA competition categories define his flying 3D, sport, scale...? Great, video need to watch several times, because there is so much information in your video. Cheers, Bradford

Good day Bradford. Thanks for the complement. I personally do not have experience with either of the planes you mentioned. It might be worth reaching out to Michael personally and asking him. From what I saw in his videos, he would be considered a sport flier, it’s nice to see that he adds in some various precision maneuvers as well. Keep burning those battery packs, skill comes with time, repetition and focused practice.
