Please make a video on how to track handheld camera running shots. ive tried to track a scene but due to some camera shake that point get blurry and tracker is not staying in the position. Any tips ??
@VFXTutors2 жыл бұрын
hey, so tracking hand held cameras is no different to other shots, you just have to working with the motion blur in the right way, depending on the camera you may also have rolling shutter distortion. I have a tutorial on how to work with all this :) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/raiVf85_0tadp4k.html

hy can you make tutorial, mesh export from 3dequalizer to 3ds max? I'm having a problem, when importing obj in 3ds max, it looks like the scale and position are not correct. of course I use image distortion remove
@VFXTutors3 жыл бұрын
If you are using geo made in 3de you will have to scale and orientate the whole scene in max, This tutorial goes through the whole process so i would skip to the import part and have a look, It’s maya but the method is the same in max.. I would also check your unit scale in max Hope that helps?
@BudayaUrangSunda3 жыл бұрын
@@VFXTutors thanks you for answering. the problem come example when move point to origin, in 3de geo object / mesh correct position, but in 3ds max / maya mesh wrong position or scale. when not moving point to origin its not a problem. sorry my english is messed up

Hi Josh, great tutorials! I have a problem though, when I export the finished track from 3DE4 and import a mel script into maya it generates a camera, image plane and an empty group named scene, but no locaters or camera animation. Have you ever had a similar issue? It seems to be an issue with maya, I sent the .mel to a friend who was able to load everything up fine...
@VFXTutors3 жыл бұрын
thanks, that is an odd one, if its working for your friend but not you, sounds like a maya issue, have you tied exporting in a .FBX? you might need to reset your preferences in maya
@ls3dfx3 жыл бұрын
@@VFXTutors will give that all a try for the ease of importing. I scoured through the mel code and found that removing the functions that group/parent the scene and points, then separating the camera and animation section from the point generation section and running them one after the other... Seems to work fine now, albeit a finicky fix. Are there any differences between exporting as .Mel or .fbx? Apart from file size perhaps. Thanks tho!

in this video part 1 u used a distortion parametre to remove distortion but if we just adjust the the focal length and used the lens distortion plate that u have given at the starting tutorials of approximately the adjusted focal length like u do in your first tutorials to remove distortion so that will work or not
@VFXTutors3 жыл бұрын
Hey, so all lenses are different and it’s usually not a good idea to use lens grids from different lenses as this could cause more problems. But if you solve distortion like I do in this tutorial it should work most of the time :)

Josh I have a shot I think it is a drone but when I parameter focal length ,it shows some weird values like 2 mm please can you help me
@VFXTutors3 жыл бұрын
Akhil Raj Karuna does the footage have a lot of movement? Could you upload it so I could see?
so, what i would do, is take a guess at the focal length, because its a drone shot and looking at the quality, its likely a commercial drone, like a DJI or something, i would guess a mavic drone. so i would set you focal length at fixed 24mm, then set your film back width to adjust and filmback height as passive, then in parameter adjust, only adjust filmback, then try a solve hope that helps?

1.Q what if the loctators does not match perfectely does that mean your camera is not tracked correctly, 2.Q and after snapping u are only using the scale parametre to adjust so can we use the other parametres like transform or rotate to make it correct and can u make a one more tutorial on rotomation if u get a time it will be great help to understand in more perfectly now i am not able to understand that how people matches the deformation of the mesh with object and other things . Thanks for all the effort that u did it really helps and one suggestion can u make one discord server related to work and problems .

@VFXTutors3 жыл бұрын
no worries yes, i use 2D pan a lot to move around without moving the camera I always bake the camera that way if i have moved the camera in a group, as if you export the camera that has a group with transforms, it will break and revert to the original position. so you have to bake the group transforms onto the camera hope that helps?
