Complete build video for the 3DSets Bamboo 3D Printed RC Toyota FJ Landcruiser. Covers the full assembly of the truck including chassis, body, interior, belt drive transmission, front and rear open differential, wheels, finishing touches and more. For this build we use an 1100kv C3530 brushless outrunner motor from Surpass Hobby and 16BL30 Hobbywing brushless 30A ESC or speed controller.

What I really lack in the build guide is some color code scheming - how do i know which part to print with which color?

It's tough but the build plates are fairly well organized by the color you'd wanna print for the most part.

Great color scheme and equally great video! I am printing out the first parts for mine now and hope it turns out half as nice as yours. Is that Super Lube on the joints? I could not read the label.

Nice job making it look easy! What hex drivers are you using? I'd love to have a set like that where I can use them by hand or in a drill. My hands were hurting after building 2 Ranchers with hand-only tools! Glad to see a full assembly video of a Bamboo since that's my next one to build. I'm just trying to pick out what color filament to use on the body.

These are MIP (Moore's Ideal Products) hex drivers which I must say are good quality but they aren't cheap. At some points in the video I actually switch to using some cheap drivers from China and they work pretty well too (although they don't last as long, especially the 1.5mm one) and you can also remove the bit from the handle and put it in a drill chuck. IMO its not worth getting the MIP ones unless you use them everyday. @@rcprinter Thanks for the info! I use mine a lot and I really chew through 1.5mm cheap ones, plus putting them in a drill would be nice. Also, thanks for stating the cost vs use issue. Sometimes it isn't worth it, sometimes it is.

Those are MIP drivers. "Moore Industrial Products". They're pricey but if you use them a lot they're nice to have.

haha, I have 4 but maybe I should do a workshop tour at some point so you can see! The bamboo is a very fun build for sure if you enjoy building scale models.

@@rcprinter Yeah, do a workshop tour. 👍🏻 But you know what else would be cool with the building videos? If you would also show the screws used. Length, diameter etc...
