he said that because back when the old shoes were the norm it would be cheaper than the new Nike ones probably. What I mean is that when he bought it it was cheap. Anything that is old becomes a collectors item and goes higher in value the older is is.

Not really a fair test. For accurate results you would need both pairs brand new. Shoes aren't made for a lifetime that long. Any benefits that older shoe had are far gone. Plus you may have been unintentionally holding back as to not further damage the older shoe.

Back when I was in high school in 2015, I bought a re-release pair of Nike waffle racers from J-crew for I wanna say like 80 bucks? Honestly some of the best shoes I've ran in to this day and I set a bunch of PRs in them. The waffle traction works really well for off road races and they grip a track pretty well too and the upper feels soft and breathable. Totally recommend them to any runners or anyone that just wants a retro look.

For anyone who sees this I wanted to say that Jesus Christ loves everyone and died for all of our sins. Jesus also rose again from the dead three days later, proving everything He said to be true (before He died He said He would rise again from the dead). Everyone has sin and the wages of sin is death. Sin leads to death and death leads to hell (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23) But Jesus died for our sins and paid our debt to sin, so anyone who chooses to believe in Him will be saved from hell and could go to heaven. If you want to make Him your Lord and Savior you could say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I confess You as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive me for all of my sins, I repent and I turn to You. Please help me to live for You, and I love you. In Jesus name, Amen! If you prayed that, Glory be to God! Please get a Bible, read it every day, pray everyday and please go to church. Jesus loves you!
