The best part of CS2 Overpass is the visibility, you can finally see people in connector

CS2 will be colourful themed ( Official Poster consistent with the map which is Highly saturated and bright ). Csgo is Dark, Greyish and Depressed themed ( EVERY Official Posters released so far are always Dark themed which are consistent to the In game theme ) I think every map in CS2 will be Happy and Colorful looking compared to CSGO. I am not saying my preference but my observations so far. I don't understand the Toxic replies below

@@Vinicantstopcrying Counter-Strike: Source had better suited graphics for its gameplay than whatever the hell CSGO was smoking. I suspect someone at Valve's CSGO Art team got infected with Gears Of War disease and they didn't bothered to purge the Grey Filth before it was too late. At least Valve finally fixed their worst aspect of the game, 10 years later.

I'm actually not so sure it's meant to be sewage water, actually. Considering they're doing construction in the area, it seems silly and dangerous to have the whole area be full of raw sewage, especially the kind that can create foam. I think it's more meant to represent old rainwater that has gathered after the whole sewage system has been shut down. You see that remarkably often in construction sites, too. While it would be more accurate to have debris gathering on top of it, this doesn't look too far off from reality to begin with.

A note to where Overpass is located: While the map includes something very similar to the Berlin TV tower and shows German language at various occassions, funnily enough, the background of the map shows the classic panorama of the city Prague. That semi-transparent foliage is probably a bunch of tree models being partially culled from view. Props are meant to disappear once they reach a certain distance from the player, cleanly fading away with a dither pattern as they get close to the limit so you don't see them just pop out of existence. I imagine whoever's placed them hasn't set the cull distance high enough and they're just hovering at the limit.

I think the maps that were already remade or made 2016 onwards by Valve like Dust 2, Nuke and ancient were already made in source 2 and were backported to Source 1. Which probably explains their lack of changes between them now. I think what shows it more obviously is that Source 2 maps generally use alot of models for detail compared to the original source maps especially when you consider half life: alyx's maps were mostly decorated by models.
