Man all these maps are leaps and bounds more creative than the majority of what's made it into matchmaking I gotta say.

I can now rest happily knowing that I'll never have to complain about maps using the same teal and yellow lighting ever again. Being able to distinguish one level from another just by the color composition and lighting is a forgotten trait I've wanted to see included in the game for years. These maps are almost everything I could want from a map pool.

Holy shit these look absolutely gorgeous.

CS:GO desperately needs a curated community map playlist for official matchmaking. Simplest way to implement it, might be a single playlist (a single tile in the matchmaking menu) which puts you into a queue for a handful of valve-curated community maps that rotate every month or two. It would be really simple to implement and would allow everyone easily to play all these amazing maps on official servers.

I'm so glad to have seen this competition existed! So many detailed, well-designed maps to be played on. I feel like, even if some maps don't make it to the finals, they should still be updated and maybe have a shift of game mode. de_graveyard is one such example, if it were a danger zone map, albeit larger than it currently is, it would be massive fun to play on.

de_Cappadocia made me audibly gasp, that and de_Zenith are the most beautiful csgo maps I've seen holy shit.

They are all so beautiful it would be incredible to have them added to the game, if not for good gameplay just a flavour of new

I got out of CS:GO quite a while ago due to boredom with maps and their themes, but it's content like this that makes me still care about the game. Seeing the amount of obvious care end effort put into these maps by average people makes me appreciate them in a way unique to video games.

Icelander here, have been to said beach in question. When I saw basalt in the intro and saw the colored houses and roof styles I immediately went "Hey! That looks extremely Icelandic!" and was very pleasantly surprised! I have never seen Iceland depicted in a game before and this is a pretty spot on depiction of alot of the unique quirks of our geography and architecture

It's unreal how good mappers are these days. Almost all of the maps in top 11 can pass as Valve quality or better. It's inspiring and discouraging at the same time. Congratulations to all involved, what a wonderful hobby.

Cappadocia probably is my faviroute place in the world so far. The nap completely nailed the thene and its just cool to see the weird alian landscape as a map.

It's incredible how much the complexity of CSGO maps have increase from it's original release. Before it was just CSS maps in the most recent version of Source, now it looks just a couple of shaders away from looking like a Source 2 map. It's incredible that these are being made still with hammer.

Gonji and Graveyard stood out for me as worth adding to map pool. Mutiny, Anubis and Swamp were all great. It shows what this kind of competition can produce.

Mustang is a real place in Nepal. As many people are unaware about the country itself, it is obvious that Mustang was no exception. I visited this place last week, and it felt so unique. The locals are very friendly, their culture reflect on what made them, and hospitality is beyond anyone's reach.

I’m happy to say that I participated in this contest as it was a wonderful voyage into the wonders of mapping. It made me realize how much farther I must go to make a masterpiece of a map.

de_mustang is literally a farcry 4 inspired map

When i try Mustang, the graphic and theme make me feel like playing Farcry 4 and when i try Swamp, it makes me feels like on Destiny 2 Earth

I think I've finally pinned down why I like your video style so much! Many youtubers try to edit reactiongifs and memes into their videos tomake them more enjoyable. But with your dry humour and unexpectedly funny comments that's not necessary. Unlike memes and gifs, they don't disrupt the video flow, they just fit so perfectly. Great video!

When you followed tutorials and tried mapping yourself you realize how skilled these people are, these maps are actually insane it's almost impossible to chose a winner, i'd have said de_zenith because of the visuals but since it's not in the top 10 i'll say de_Anubis, gl for the judges/mappers and thanks for the video.
