Why must the BI be cool before activation?

No one has ever been able to explain to me what the reader is reading in the BI, there can be no growth at one hour, so what has changed in the BI, and how does the reader detect it, 3M just said read the IFU

Endospores or bacterial spores are the microorganisms that are predominantly used within Biological Indicators, as they are considered some of the most difficult microorganisms to destroy. The incubator technology includes an ultraviolet light that detects growth.

@@sterileprocessingdepartmen5926 are you saying it can detect grow using ultraviolet in one hour ? It does not grow that fast , I have been told that there is an enzyme that is destroyed in autoclave process, and that the ultraviolet is showing that the enzyme no longer exists, not sure if that is correct,
