A short video from 3M Personal Safety UK on how to correctly fit the 3M™ 6500 QL Series Reusable Respirators.
Demonstrated using the 3M™ 6502 Quick Latch Reusable Respirator (Medium). Also applicable to the 3M™ 6501 QL (Small) and 3M™ 6503 QL (Large) Reusable Respirators.

Hi, can you tell me please, if the mask 6500Ql mask protects the same as the one that has not QL the regular 6500? The only difference in protection is the easy removal or are other difference in-protection? Thanks

Is this advisable to use for covid patient encounter? Cause we shouldn’t be touching our mask in front right? contamination?

You could use fashion strips (double-sided, dermatologically tested tape) in combination with FFP3 NR masks by placing the tape across the nose section. Same recommendations as in this video apply (clean shave for proper seal, fit check, preferably also tensioning of the mask loops behind the head with hooks). This should provide an accessible way to achieve high filtration and best-effort protection in most places of the world. Stay safe!

The surface could be wipe cleaned with alcohol，you don''t need to clean inside. The virus won't break through the glassfibers.

for the 3m 6200 mask the manual says that alcohol can be used. I expect that for the whole series. I cover the whole mask in 80% 2-propan-ol solution by using a pump-sprayer. only bit I would be careful are the outside seals where you put the filter, those dont seem to like any fluids.

You're going to need to refer to the niosh spreadsheet included with your filters and ensure that filter is meant for the chemical you're still smelling, if you're smelling fumes it's likely you either don't have a good seal on your face and/or you're not using a filter designed to filter out or neutralize that chemical.

Yes,this is a particulate filter only. There are cartridges with activated carbon they work for most chemical fumes.

Any mask of this type will be uncomfortable after 30 mins or so, afterall these masks designed primarily for safety purposes not for comfort. your face size plays an important role, you might experience that after using multiple series.

yes. you can use 3m series 6000 mask, and use filters 3m #6035 or #6038 also you can use a combi filter: by using 3m product #6055 or #6059 with #5935 and filtercover #501 - I recommend looking for the mask with #6035 or #6038, those are optimal for the corona situation. but all of this is very expensive now, people price gauging badly.

general rule is "no"; however, I am not a daily shaver-more weekly or so--it will likely still seal well, although it will never seal better than if you had no facial hair. If I ever have to wear a full-face for work with chemicals (vapors), I would say definitely no facial hair. For dust...meh. If it passes the so-called fit test, I will use it with facial hair.

@@Backstreets247 from what would it protect you?! without filters its pointless, you could as well just wrap a scarf around your head. and why do you expect the mask to be bundled with filters, there are hundrets of different filters for these masks all for different scenarios. makes no sense to bundle it with a specific filter. and btw you are a bit late...these masks and filters go for ridiculous prices now...

The most convenient mask on the Market today. I used this mask during the entire SarsCovi2 (Covid-19) Pandemic cycle. Still healthy with no infections.

There needs to be some guidance given on size and how to assertain if small, medium or large is required. Just selling this item without this information is very unprofessional 3M.
