Here I try to explain a little of my current build
It’s a LF3 engine from a 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport with a 8speed transmission

Toyota did this back in like 2010 on the Tacoma X-Runner RTR edition. Loved hearing that supercharger in it. This swap is awesome too!

Laser cut a plate and was able to mount it in the original center console and it turned out super clean

How much fab went into getting the motor/ trans mounted? I'm sure it didn't bolt right up, just curious if you found off the shelf pieces or all one off custom jobs? And what about gearing and transfer case? Can't imagine there are many 4x4 CTS out there! Lol awesome build, btw

I understand the efficiency and ease of using the auto, but a manual would be my choice. I can't stand the sound of a turboed or supercharged engine with an auto. I'm old school about that and completely understand that I am a minority nowadays. Sweet swap non-the-less!

How did you get your fuel level sensor to work? I'm engine swapping mine and for some reason the level indicator doesn't work. It reads empty w/ 10 gal. of fuel in the tank.

I have a 17 with a 3" lift and 33" tires and it sucks on long trips it's always shifting and the fuel milage sucks it needs a gear change

Did you have to do any type of modifications other then the typical cab mount chop to fit the tires? I currently run 295/70r17 and would like to run the 295/75r17 that you are running

For those of you that do not understand your Toyota V6 engine. Let me explain. It is a short stroker. It is a gas sipper! It has power and torque in the higher rpm's above 3,000. It doesn't hurt the engine, at all, to run there in the high rpms! It might be a slight inconvenience for you all, to push that gas pedal down farther. But it doesnt eat a bunch of gas, like a turbo charged V6 would.

@@Walterrinho No turbo! That's the nice thing about it. With a turbo added you have to burn premium. and it doesn't change the horsepower all that much.

Buys the most reliable mid size pick up truck on the market. Swapped the engine out to and puts in a gm engine in there.

The answer to Tacoma power problems, which isn't a problem for 'real' Toyota fans, is the Short Deck Windsor, every time. It is never an overly complex thing of any type including a supercharger. If you don't think so, you're just a fair-weather Toyota fan :D. Your truck would be awesome no matter what you used, this one is beyond awesome I wish I had it and anybody who uses anything other than your shifter is now behind.

I have it torn back apart right now putting a 2020 Colorado transmission and transfer case in it to make it 4wd again I’ll get some times after I get this part done
