I removed the LF3 that was in my truck and installed a LS3 with 6l80e transmission, please enjoy the short little video of it

I literally Traded in my TRD Tacoma for the same reason. I even went on a test drive in a supercharged Tacoma and was let down. Too damn slow for me, especially after the wheels and lift. I was afraid to hop in traffic in that damn thing and …😂

You know the 4.6 v8 from tundra will almost bolt right in. Very fe mods needed, and ot will bolt up to the manual transmission. The 5.7 iforce max will fit with more modifications, but I don't know about its compatibility with the 6 speed manual. You can fit the 1uz engine in pretty easily as well.

It fits so well, it’s almost too small of a motor for the chassis. Such a shame manufacturers don’t even consider power plants like this

Honestly, the gas mileage can’t be any worse than the v6 that came with it. I bet this motor would get better gas mileage than my 4Runner.

That swap looks so clean. Mad prop on it. And the truck sounds amazing. This is definitely going to inspire a lot of tacoma owner to replicate it, especially if you can get the 4x4 system working.

Its a pushrod V8 which means its physically smaller DOHC v8's are huge

I have a 3.5 in a 3rd world country which was brought here as a flood car, got it and used it for a bit and then all the electrical bugs started to show, so now I am thinking of putting a 5.3 in it. If you wanna blow it up, dip it in water 😂

High quality swap! Only change I would make would be to paint the aluminum bezel on the gauge cluster either dark gray or black to really make it look stealth and factory..🍺

Now that's what a Tacoma should sound like and how it should move. I got rid of mine because of the wimpy underpowered V6. Bad ass conversion and excellent job on the cluster gauges👍👍👍.

Looks great, and very clean! I have a 98 Tacoma 2wd 5 lug with an LS1/T56 swap and just did stage 2 by adding a VSR 7875 Billet turbo w/full length 4" exhaust and was able to keep AC and PS intact, but boy my engine bay is very tight... Great job buddy, you made it look very nice.

Lol this is just straight up unfair. A V8 Tacoma is everything I could've ever wanted as a truck. I'm jealous you get to live that dream. But good work on swapping the motor. I'm sure you had a big smile when you heard that LS3 crank for the first time in that Taco'. Can't wait to see what else you do to it!
