Also depends on your company's safer score. If its low they will inspect the trucks more often than a company with a high score.

We have done several loads into different parts of nyc and we dont mind them at all. We have brokers that know we will do it so they will pay good money to for us to do it. We will not do it for any less than $2.50 a mile but usually stay closer to $3 to cover the toll costs ect. The tolls are high. Idk if you use a trucker gps but you defiantly need one going into the city.

Brother, you went to the shipper to get loaded and at the shipper the load got canceled. In this case, you are entitled to get at least 150.00 dollars to the truck. However if the load cancellation is not the shipper's fault, getting paid to the truck is a different story. Antonio, the 18 wheeler

I believe once your DOT'D you have 10 days before they can dot you again. I got dot on a Tuesday and pulled into the bay for another dot 3 days later. I was really annoyed, show them my previous dot and they let me go. Call iodia, they will help you on the law

You should have a “CVSA” sticker placed on both your truck and trailer. It’s basically tells DOT “leave me alone for 90-days.”

I’m not so sure now after watching all your videos of the assholes dumping stuff on your trailer and the dot pulling you in every week. Canceling the loads as well. That would piss me off lol

You know back the I run all over the USA like for two yrs eaven took load from Boston to San Diego California from coast to coast and never got pulled over for dot inspection I was lucky

10:30 there's is no such thing as too much securement. My goal is if the truck rolls, I want the load to stay on the bed. I want it to become part of the truck I have it so tied down. Why not do double securement? It gives me piece of mind rolling down these bumpy roads.

No offense always keep it long and low. Those I beams in my opinion side by side . Chain it by cross chains. Meaning ratchet the first to one side and then alternate the binders side to side. Also I may be totally wrong but be sure your chains are g70 . I may be wrong but your chains look like there silver not gold is why I mention the g70.

Hotshots got a bad reputation years ago. Guys would pull a big trailer with nothing but personal auto insurance and a tag that only covered the empty weight of the truck alone and not the gross combination weight. They never had anything legal or right. No logs, no daily inspections, no MC or PUC numbers, nothing. And for some reason their cargo securement was always terrible

Meanwhile as you were being harassed, there were probably 50+ heavy semi drivers passing by, aggressively tailgating, flashing lights, speeding, passing illegally in left lane, headlights out, leaking oil with flapping bumpers and balding tires. Shall I continue? You are going to quickly realize that no, it's NOT about "safety" as they claim... it's about what's easier for them and how they can "show" that they are doing the same amount of work without actually doing it. As said, CMV enforcers hit lighter-class vehicles harder because they are in fact easier. No creepers, no dirty brake adjustment checks with complicated air systems, etc. Also, they look at a hotshot or straight truck similar to how a local-yocal sheriff views a bright red Porsche 911 going through town. While they may NOT be doing anything wrong, they perceive them to be law-breakers and most LIKELY to have violations if stopped. Again, is it about safety? NO WAY! Maybe a small handful of the CMV enforcement community looks at it this way, but after you've been shaken down as much as I have over the years you'll quickly become hardened to it and unfortunately begin to disrespect them due to these obvious behavior patterns. Avoid KY, GA and TN scales if at all possible as they are truly the worst! All the best to you, and sorry to seem like a ranter. LOL

Did you pass any of these alleged level I inspections? When you pass a level I the nifty sticker they put on the windshield gives you a three month pass on inspections unless a violation is seen.

Colorado just made me pay the craziest permit fee ever. $60 for a 3 day permit to drive in Coloroda on my "pick up" truck with no bed! I have a F450 hotshot cab and chassis and they made me pay $60 saying that I dont have cargo capacity so I fit under tractor rules but I'm registered under a pick up LOL. That was the most natzi non American bullshit I ever heard. I asked them "so it cost someone $600 per month to drive a pick up truck with no bed?" and they said yes!
