I have used some pieces of 2x4 temporarly screwed to deck ( per load ) as needed for cleats for each package , huge help keeping items secured to deck, takes a lot of burden of your strapping.

My 3500 Dodge Rams came with them. I never knew exactly why, after all these years. Thank you for clearing that up. Over 6 feet 7 inches requires clearance lights.Who Knew? LOL

Throw some straps over it when you are out of bungees. Cab over lights are easy to install.

Under 80” wide on the truck and you don’t need them. Most dual rears come with them standard

If you need to add cab lights to your truck. Recon is the way to go they have complete kits

Yup. 57, 55, and 40 can be interesting. The officer is correct on the cab lights unfortunately.

Any commercial vehicle needs the lights . including the trailer. Remember you are a combination vehicle . so if the trailer needs them the power unit needs them. anything over seven and half.

Each such group shall be evenly spaced not less than six nor more than twelve inches apart along a horizontal line near the top of the vehicle. The way I read that is if your combination length is over 30 ft Long it doesn’t matter if your truck width is under 80’ cab lights are required

Cab over lights (3 in the middle and 1 on each side) signifies the power unit is over 80 inches (duallys) cab lights are not required for your single wheel truck and if you put the over 80 inches configuration a dot officer that knows the law will right you up for that. To satisfy the incompetent/lazy or just those officers that hate to give out cvsa stickers put on 5 evenly spaced. That warning still carries points. I know I’m right about the 80in part but you need to verify about the requirement of non dually cab lights as it’s been awhile and laws change. If I’m right about it not being required fight it. Did he write it for clearance or identification lamp? And if only one why not the other? If you need them (I have f250 also without) then why aren’t they factory? Does ford not follow guidelines? The raptor is over 80” wide and has identification lights, I’m just trying to determine if he just didn’t understand or you actually need them. Because far as I know f250 is a tad under and legal without.

I honestly don’t know why cab over lights aren’t standard on all 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. Neither of my 3/4 trucks have had them while I see 3/4 gassers have them all day. Weird.

Are you ever gonna get a all aluminum trailer. When i can first get my CDL my gonna get a all aluminum 53' gooseneck trailer. So it doesn't rust. When you first got into it why didn't you go with a aluminum trailer

You do not need cab lights For under 72 or 76 inch on the front.It's all B.S. to get money from you.
