lol I have been dealing with my 3rd seat 07 Tahoe because i take it out, and put it in ,due to room I need,lol when I watch this nice guy just push the seat in,its like pure magic,i could repeat watch it all day ,today Im putting the seat back in because my husband bought a 07 Chevy suburban to give my Tahoe a rest and we have more room. thanks for the awesome help

I finally was able to fix my seat after a year of not being able to lift the seat open. I have watched a zillion videos on this. I have taken the seat apart twice only for it to work while out of the truck but once put back in stuck again... I was about to purchase a new seat for $385 but decided to give it one last try. You explain this procedure so well!!!!!!!!!!!! It was those back seat brackets so once I truley slammed it in... everything worked! Thank you so much!!!

He is a great instructor. I watched a few bad ones. I was pushing the seats straight up at step 2. Step 3 was not happening. It locks in that position. I did it his way. 1, 2, 3... I just looked at my kid and made "the no I didn't just make that so hard face..." She just smiled. Lol I'm a fan for life!

Thank you for this video. I just purchased a 2007 Suburban LTZ and both 3rd row seats wouldn't open back to the seating position. Watched the video and letting the seat 'slam' down did the trick.

Thank you so much for this how to video!! Our seat was out and we could not get it back until we watched your video. They key part is to just slide it in!! We were trying to force it in, yep that does not work.

My right side seat will not fold up. I tried the trick of moving the latches forward on the rear and seat still stuck in the down position. What would you suggest? I tried slamming the seat very hard down into the floorboard - still no help

So it sounds like it's more of an issue with the cables inside the seat itself. When you are trying to move the seat down, the cables are more than likely, not bending with it, the only way to figure out exactly what is going on would be to open the back trim of the seat and check the wiring. @@TheSeatShop I meant that my seat won't come upright. It is folded down and stays down. i tried your trick of moving the latches on both right and left forward, but still it won't budge. I also tried slamming the hell out of the seat on the rear mounts (something several recommended) and no help. Wanted to make sure you didn't think i was saying the seat was stuck upright.

@@a1chemist1 So you're doing everything right in terms of trying to fix the problem but unfortunately, since you've tried everything, at this point, you may need to have someone take the seat apart to figure out what exactly is going on. Since there could be several reasons as to why the seat doesn't fold back up, we won't be able to give you a specific answer. We apologize for the inconvenience!

At video location 2:45, when you discuss locking in upright position... What keeps it from locking? I just purchased a 2014 and the left seat, when folding it up using the #2 lever, it will not stay up and falls down. Thanks

have a third row that is folded down out of the car, but won't fold open (only goes halfway). I have tried moving all the levers, pulling the handle, and opening and closing the floor latch mechanisms. Any ideas on how to make it fold open all the way?

I tried to put my seats back in on my own because my husband was taking forever. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand now I got one of them stuck. I accidentally got only one corner locked in and now I can't get the seat out to fix it. Any ideas how to get it out

Regarding the rear latches on my 2009 Tahoe 3rd row seat... I couldn't get left seat to latch in place on rear.. After checking latches I found both latches were in closed position therefore not allowing them to latch into place in the grooves.... I tried WD-40 and tried prying open with screw driver without any success.. If you could offer any help or suggestions my dear sweet wife and I would be forever grateful!

I can only get one to slide into place when I push it forward. The other one just stops when it meets the bars in the floor.

It is hard to know how to help without seeing your seats. That being said, you can check the tracks to see if they are locked or if there is some type of obstruction stopping it from sliding in. Maybe this other video might also be able to help you out. - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oJeAnZmcmpquo6s.html

One issue that wasn't covered was if the seat is stuck in the folded upright position. Mine seems to be stuck and will not budge :/

I just bought a 2007 Yukon Denali xl slt, the 3 row is two bucket seats. I want to know if the seats are interchangeable to a 3 seater bench? Or how I would go about getting it change. Thanks... samantha

Hi Samantha, Yes your 3rd row "bucket" style seats are interchangeable with the 3 seater option. GM actually discontinued the "bucket" style option after a few years as it was widely unpopular. I would look at salvage yards in your area to find a set. The year range you'll have to look in is 2007 - 2014. All the seats during that year range are the same. You can also look for seats coming out of the following vehicles as they are also the same. Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade, Escalade ESV. Keep in mind the Escalade seats will be perforated along with some of the Denali packages. Hope this helps. It just depends on if the row is equipped with child seat restraints. There were also some aftermarket seat companies in the past manufacturing third-row seats, but it's unclear if they're still in business, since GM changed the seat design in 2015.

Hi there, it depends on if you're local to the Dallas area. We can't ship 3rd-row seats as it will get damaged and is ridiculously expensive.

i don't know why GM cant do better seats like in ford expedition , i went with ford expedition just for the 3rd seat , i love to know that i don't need to take the seats out every time i need space , GM please do better with the 2015 models .

Hi Pablo, sorry for the late response, but unfortunately, at least at this time we will only manufacture the foam for the Driver bottom. We would suggest taking your third row seats to a local upholstery shop
