3rd Time Trying the Anthony Dickey Wash n Go Method ... I Still Like It! | Type 4 Hair

The Doux Big Poppa Gel
My Wash n Go Steps
In the Shower
1. Let water run through hair until hair is fully saturated.
2. Generously apply conditioner. Cover all strands from root to tip.
3. Apply plastic cap for about an hour.
Outside the Shower
4. Rinse conditioner out of hair.
5. Promptly apply leave-in throughout the hair
6. Promptly apply gel to soaking wet hair. Thoroughly apply from root to ends by rubbing, raking and or smoothing the gel through the hair. Add more water if needed.
7. Dry hair using a hooded dryer or hand dryer diffuser.
8. Fluff and style.

Absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing and doing a step by step tutorial. I’ve only just started embracing my natural curls for a month. Before I had locs and then during cancer treatment I lost all my hair. It’s been growing back nicely but is a lot thinner. For the last couple of months I’ve just been keeping it in protective styles until a month ago. I can’t believe how thick it is becoming and looks really healthy. I’ve only just discovered the Dickey method. Today is day three for me from wash day and I’ve just co-washed and styled it. Your videos have really helped! 😊😊

Your hair is so beautiful and healthy! ♥️ I can see the growth since some of your earlier videos I’ve watched.🥰👏🏼👍🏼 I just started the AD method and I’m already seeing changes in my 4B textured hair. After a week, I’ve already noticed less shedding and easier detangling. My hair is also responding better to styling products now that it’s moisturized and hydrated. I feel like I’ve finally cracked the code on how to care for my natural hair since going natural in 2020.❤️‍🔥

Hi Trish! Your hair is beautiful. I tried the Anthony Dickey Method for the 1st time yesterday and my hair is so soft. I have a little definition but not as much as I would like. Need to figure out what products I have in my stash to give me the definition I am looking for. My hair is prone to tangling also so I am gonna try some of your techniques. Thank you! Excited for the journey as I NEVER could do a wash n go before, lol

Hi Willie you can use these products on any length hair. The products that I used was Aussie Moist Conditioner and The Doux Big Poppa Gel

Is there any chance of moisture overload?

I never understood stood that term "moisture overload" if water and conditioner hydrate and mousturize type 4 hair which is naturally dry, how could doing these steps overload the hair? 🤔 I think this may be a term that needs to die. No shade to you sis. I know that's an honest question. I'm just talking Out loud. I'm learning too ❤
