I have a few forged hand axes and really love them, have processed mule deer and chopped many a wood in the Colorado mountains. Axes/hatchets/tomahawks are amazing tools!

Great video! I actually do have that many axes and use to have a lot more before my house was burglarized. I love blades of all sorts but especially axes. I've customised most of mine. It's a lot healthier addiction than others one could have.

Great collection! I got the SOG dbl. bit hatchet. I broke the handle,after years of throwing. I have custom made couple of wood handles,that I have broke again. Lol. I love my CRKT tomahawk so much,I bought two. Done gave my second one away to a good friend.he just displays it with all his Native American artifacts.

You probably have as many hatchets and tomahawks as I do. I still have the hatchet that my Mom used to kill the chickens for Sunday Dinners when I was 5 (that was 1964). I never go into the wilderness without some kind of hatchet or tomahawk. I took the head off of a SOG Mini Voodoo Hawk and put it on the longer Tactical Hawk handle, and it’s now my favorite hatchet/tomahawk. The Kangee T-Hawk is an excellent tool for urban survival. Mine stays in the Jeep kit.

I use a prandi axe made in Italy they're very reasonably priced and you get a good axe.

I’ve got a early sog double bit ax,I broke the unbreakable handle on it,I went with a wooden replacement handle. I heard they at sog singing steel ring couple times when you displayed it in & out of the sheath. My sog is one of the few that has singing steel, love that sound lol

I have 8 axes and or hatchets and I thought I had a problem. I feel better now 😊

Pretty cool video, you're not alone when I was 7 years old or about that I wanted an army Hatcher for Christmas nothing else just an army hatchet! And that was probably one of the coolest Christmas presents I ever got and I got guns I had a motorcycle I had cool things but that hatchet was top of the list! I've had the Sog Fast Hawk, I met a guy in an Army Navy store and I just looked at him and I can tell he had it and I said something he said yeah he said yeah come look at my truck and he's shortened his handle just like I did. I just walked past the man and knew he had it, and that's strange that was in Grand Prairie Tx. It would be cool if he seen this message.

I bought an old felling axe head at a gun show for $10 bucks, nothing on it except it says USA at the back end of the head. I don't know when it was made or who brought it here to Canada, but looks old. It was completely rusted and I soaked it overnight in vinegar and salt and wire brushed it clean. Its good with no pitting, put a new hickory handle on it and oiled it up with gun oil to keep it from rusting. I wish I knew what year it was made and by which company.

Big fan of axes. Not so much of tomahawks. Hatches can be useful but very limited for what it weighs. I grew up using axes. Never had a bad accident with one but I've seen some nasty wounds. Axes are dangerous, saws are a much safer option to cut firewood

I’ve had an original, never sharpened, looks to have NEVER even been used, Nordlund Scout hatchet for about 30 years now. Got in trade for some restoration work I’d done for a friend. I had NO freakin idea of the popularity of that hatchet till a couple years ago. I’ve left it in the bottom of a shop drawer for the entire time I’ve had it because the handle is severely dried out and has a minor crack in it from the unique circumstances of how it got to be so old without ever actually being used. Too long to bore y’all with here. I considered re-handling it but it’s a task I’ve never tried and I couldn’t find the same 12” handle to match the excellent one it came with. I’m freaking glad I didn’t alter this thing in any way now that I understand the rarity of it. I’m too dang old to get any real use from it and it needs a new home. Problem is in finding a home for it. I’m new to this channel and have been bing watching for a few videos now. Great information and I’m gonna check your knives out too. The set screws on the Cold Steel tomahawks (they all have them) is for shipping and "safety" purposes. Just remove it and pretend it doesn't exist.
