The Thr3TreeBase short stick curriculum draws on techniques and principles of xingyiquan, taijiquan, Bajiquan and Shaolin whip staff short stick patterns, as well as various forms of folk and contemporary sword and sabre skills, combined with quintessence movement principles of Yiquan.
This curriculum is based primarily around the concept of self-defence in critical life-or-death situations where using a weapon would be legally and ethically justified.
