I am using victorinix and it's the most best ruff rigid knife I have ever used at the price of 499 the best trust me I have used for cutting things direct on marble top for months yet it haven't loosed its sharpness and the sawblade shaped is the varient after Swiss quality

Good work Bhai, better if you have mentioned price. Price is also criteria for middle class. We have available knives from 25-30 rupees onwards, small width knives you may be watched in fruits cutting at roadside ex: I HAVE SEEN THIER SKILLS: At ghatkopar west Mumbai near VIJAY SALES, cuts watermelon 🍉, pineapple 🍍 ( removes outer skin of pineapple 🍍), effortlessly with that knife also

Good efforts... but you should compare with plain edge knife with plain edge of other brands... and not with Serrated knife with plain edge.

as I am a in the culnary indusry since 5 yeas I can tell that knifes sharpness, size and shape is very imp and i think for a chef style knife solimos 8 inch chef knife is good but the only prolblem it has its bolster ,godrej cartini is really made up of good steel but that shape and size is its major drawback, whle victorinox is best knife if buy its big variant PS I also Own a victorinox.

As someone using Victronix for more than 15 years, it's one of the best products to ever exist. Though it's pricey, think of it as an investment as you will be using it everyday. I really wish an Indian brand comes soon with similar Quality and price.

We have solimo knifes with bunch of premiums knifes but we only use one iron knife all the time which my mom bought locally. It gets sharpened quickly and easily and it's very sharp especially after cutting some acidic fruit like mango, it become very dangerous. Only problem is that it gets rusty if left unused for a week.

These branded knifes are all gimicky my mom's thin iron knife is so sharp always that you can shave you hair with it easily ,if you get a cut u won't even know until you bleed

Yes, I too agree. But iron knives are need be used cautiously. Rust on the knife hurts badly and sometimes leads to septic the hands.
