Wait… did you mean to put 3 oz of simple in the cognac julep? Or was that just an editing mistake? I want to make it right! Also, which cognac do you recommend for the royal manhattan?? I have Hennessy, but not sure if that’s the way to go! So many questions lol

In the cognac julep goes 1.5 oz of simpel syrup to 4 oz of cognac. The big part of the jigger holds 1 oz and the small part holds 0.5 oz

Yeah, orange to yellowish depends a bit on which ingredients are used.

Wondering if you could substitute Pineau de Charentes and cut down the sugar at the same time. (It’s 20% and still an eau-de-vie like cognac)
