On one hand it's too excessive, but at the same time it's a good way of just showing how petty, contradicting and cruel the Daleks are, they would demand surrender within a strict time limit as more of an excuse to exterminate you and even if you do surrender they will take you back to their death and torture facilities to be exterminated anyway.

⁠@@FreeTheDonbasI mean, before we learned the Daleks survived by crafting a Void Ship, and the numbers they had during the Time War, this really was it. -It's almost as if this show has retconned the existence/non-existence of Gallifrey, the Daleks, and the capability of the Sonic Screwdriver whenerve it has damn well pleased.-

For me The deadliest dalek exterminations have to be from genesis of the daleks where the daleks shoot groups of people with only one blast from their death rays

Fun fact: During The Stolen Earth (S4 E12), the Dalek didn’t actually shoot the Doctor directly. The script actually stated that the extermination beam skimmed the Doctor by a few inches, hence why he was able to regenerate, because usually a Dalek extermination beam can kill a Timelord. This is why they haven’t yet shot the Doctor head on, because as we know, the Daleks think hatred is beautiful.

Gotta say, as much as I hate Chibnall's writing, the way he made that Dalek annihilate the army convoy was pretty badass. It gives the Daleks some much needed love, after Moffat turned them into jokes that ask for "mercy". Just a shame he couldn't keep it up in the other dalek episodes.

Problem is if the bbc has to use them maybe they should have their own series, the overuse of the daleks in doctor who has caused diluted writing so much so that the daleks are pretty much a joke 9/10 Occasionally they'll have a truly menacing scene but you just know they'll be back, there's only been one dalek scrypt writer that shines in the way he wrote them and that's David whittaker

Also the difference between whatever the first part was from and Eccleston era is so stark. To me Doctor Who has always been improved by the cheese and the humanity. That gritty realism stuff really isn't what the show *should* be like. I've liked the characters, just not that approach.

that first scene was awsome, but why does the Dalek from today look so fake compared to the Dalek from 2005? because the one from today is fake, it's almost entirely CGI and it shows, 2005 only used CGI when needed like the flying

The best one has to be from resolution Chris chibnall did make the Daleks scary again and I’m happy it will carry over in the RTD2 era hopefully for more big earth invasion stories I can see it happen 🤞

One think I don’t like in that episode is the bridge scene when the doctor says “ I can’t let them know I’m here” *proceeds to land right infront of the daleks* The rest of the episode is alright though :)

The deadly part of the title makes no sense, like at all, the only extermination that wasn’t deathly was cpt jacks, but even that killed him, all exterminations are deadly…

to be fair there have been Dalek exterminations that weren't lethal to the victim - Stolen Earth and Big Bang, for example. Both times the Doctor gets shot and doesn't die

BF is dependent upon the goodwill of the BBC continuing to allow them licensing, so the BBC exerting pressure to suppress it would not be something they could afford to ignore. In the context of the Beeb instigating JB's cancellation in order to "protect their brand," at a time where BF & the main show are becoming more intertwined, BF couldn't be seen to not support the BBC's decision by going ahead and releasing it.

It was for one episode, when a Dalek repaired its casing using available materials on Earth. And sci-fi shows have been exchanging ideas for years, just look at the constant back-and-forth of the Borg and the Cybermen.

@@FreeTheDonbas No-one is a “Nuvian”, as there is no such thing. And what’s wrong with only being interested in 2005- DW? Enjoying a show doesn’t mean you must watch it all, otherwise very few people could really be a fan of such long-running shows as _Antiques Roadshow_ or _Coronation Street_ simply because there is only minimal (or even no) particular reason to watch the ones shown before you started.

@@FreeTheDonbas Way to miss the point. “Nuvians” do not exist *because that is not a recognised term!* The term is “New Whovians” (dual capital to distinguish from simply “new Whovians” - people who have only just started watching the show). My definition of the term “Nuvian” is nothing because there is no such term. I call such people “New Whovians”, because that is what they are. It was the nearest analogy I could find as someone who doesn’t watch many other programmes. (Though why you put “soap” in quotes is beyond me!) An accurate comparison would not “highlight how indefensible that is” because the “that” of which you speak is the truth. Stop denying it. The Doctor would hate you. Cope harder.

Also, the deadliest extermination was when Davros showed The Doctor who he really is in The Stolen Earth and exterminated the idea that he is the good guy. I switched to Team Dalek after that. Yes, I said it! Come at me!

The CGI at 0:13 Is terrible... I never watched Jodie's "Series" because well she's NOT The Doctor... and clicked on this video because I saw the word Dalek... Emm what the hell happened to my beloved show? I knew it was bad but is it really this bad? Like with Series 1 that moment where The Doctor and Dalek talk that has so much depth and meaning it's so beautiful. And that moment with Missy and Clara, The Doctor and Davros talking just fantastic writing from Steven even that beautiful episode with Amy The Doctor Rory and Oswin are so so much more entertaining and better written!

0:01 the BBC can put as many wind turbines as they like on TV, but they still dont work & are expensive & are the real reason behind soaring energy bills. But who exactly paid them to put that incongrous wind turbine there in the first place ??? As I am writing this wind energy is producing less than 6% of the UK's energy requirements, that is the reality of this expensive disaster.
