I got 2 mum plants,and those red zinnas! They are 5 feet tall and can't bring myself to pull them.they are so pretty! Peas its my second crop of peas and it may have got too cold in mich.ill see what happened. I brought somethings in house,ill see how long snapdragons, kale,patuneas, basil last in my house.i could not just kill them!

I grow green onions,garlic,spinach,cherry tomatoes,and ginger inside. I use a basic LED light as artificial sunlight ,and it works great. I recently started mint and lemon balm ,still babies right now but seem to be thriving

Great indoor growing guide. I have learnt to sterilize my indoor potting mix (which also uses coconut coir) by microwaving or using boiling water before growing anything. Otherwise you get a ton of fungal gnats no matter what brand of potting mix you buy.

Ok, So after putting the potting soil in the containers, I would drench the soil with boiling water, and after it drains, then plant the seeds immediately ? Is that correct?

The soil can really get dry because of the radiators. Always keeping that in mind.

Hi Valerie, its so fun to grow indoors! The 1 gallon Smart Pots come in a 3 pack, so you can plant multiple salads. Stagger the planting every few weeks so you have harvests spread out and use the cut and come again method to harvest so the leaves grow back. Have fun!

So basically you could plant just ordinary seeds and just harvest when they are really small for micro greens..what would be the advantage of growing them in soil vs like a jar for sprouts I guess becasue to grow them a bit bigger you need the soil??

Why don’t they make them pots in red Kim? They got every color but red. The orange ones are pretty though. Boy it looks nice and warm there. Yuck, we have a inch of snow now and it’s cold! Going to have to try to grow some micro greens I guess if I can have any luck with them. Closest we’re going to get to summer I guess. Lol.

I watched one of your older light setup videos and asked there, but trying here. I have some 900Lm 5000K bulbs - if I use 2 of them will it get me the combines 1800Lm for growing? i know the math equals 1800, but will it work for growing? And if so, would the combines 10,000K be too much?

Hi Soraya- it’s 3-4 feet seep but backfilled with rock and what not. And then the top with dirt, the top soil etc. Originally Lava rock went all the way around the planter ! Thanks for watching !

@@CaliKim29 my main concern was if they are Non Gmo. Thank you. Gmo anything isn’t good. And I work so I didn’t have a plethora of time to seek it out as I have a trusted company I buy from. I’m just look I guess for other sources.
