6 ай бұрынI was at the Holiday Inn Hotel and the London Gatwick airport after coming from Hurghada in Egypt on a flight. I was not sure where I wanted to go and had just my one backpack wandering around in the world. I would end up taking a flight to Spain (Malaga and Marbella), Gibraltar and Sweden (Stockholm) during my journey. On the way to England we had to stop in Milano in Italy As well. in England I saw the most famous landmarks such as Buckingham palace where the whole royal family can be traced to (Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (deceased in April 2021), Charles, Prince of Wales, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George of Cambridge, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, Prince Louis of Cambridge, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor (son of Prince Harry and Meghan), big ben, the london bridge, the red busses and took the train around. In Spain we rented a car and went form Malaga to Marbella as well as Gibraltar but I couldn't get in to Gibraltar because I did non bring my passport.

I’m from England. Sold up and left the country two years ago. I was 47, I was done with it. I’d had enough. Depressing, expensive, high taxes, overcrowded, crime rising, cold and is officially ranked the second cloudiest country in the whole of Europe… beaten only by Scotland. Says it all. Living there October - March is actually bad for your health due to the lack of sunlight and low light levels in general that plague that latitude of Northern Europe through the Winter time. We need vitamin D for our mental well-being and to be able to function properly day-to-day as human beings. The population is nearer to 69 million now according to Google and climbing due to unfettered immigration, there’s a lot of miserable people in the U.K. To be fair, you can’t blame them, they have every reason to feel this way with how the country has gone over the last 20+ years. Broken Britain, is sadly very accurate now.

That's why we have different cultures, languages and different geographic patterns. Your video brought back memories of my trip about 20 years ago. I did the timeshare thing and stayed near Malaga/Mijas Costa. Went to Marbella for a day. Then flew to Tenerife for 2 weeks. Had a great time, met a family from the UK and their daughter my age whom I still keep in contact with. Her and her father came to visit me in LA for 10 days. Took them to Vegas, Palm Springs and Universal Studios had the best time. I wish I had a traveling partner to go see other places, it’s not save alone these days unfortunately.

Hello William! Another great video! I live in Spain (Madrid) and love it but you're right about the weather. Also there are less expensive places in Spain. Marbella is expensive because it's a tourist place plus as you said, a lot of rich people live there. I'm looking forward to seeing you in Thailand. William, super cool you spent some time in the aircraft's cabin with the pilots. I was a pilot long ago when I taught computer classes at night at the local university so my flight lessons were free! I never got my license though, came very close but had a serious eye issue, required 4 surgeries and while successful, later scarring of my right eye, well it's pretty useless for me. I thank God my left, remains perfect. ways Uber 30X the Cairo price, Dios mio, I'd take the bus too. My God, such a whirlwind adventure in such short time! Some wonderful drone footage as always, gracias! Yet you returned to spend Christmas with your family as I had hoped you would so do enjoy your time with them my friend. Wow what a trip you went on. You had mentioned that your room looks like a cruise ship. Then I had a idea. Have you considered traveling on cruise ships to diffrent parts around the world. I have been on a few and always had a fantastic time. Always traveled with family and friends but never alone. I think you could make very interesting and informative videos on this. Got a lot of good advice from you traveling abroad. One of the best was something you mentioned. SIM cards. It’s so much easier these days to install one, with my phone it’s even easier I just e-load. And save a ton of money mostly for data. I tried a few and I’m really happy with one (not sure if I can mention a name). But it’s a EU card that works across Europe. Maybe not England since they drop the EU, but not sure. Guess I need to head to England to test out this sim-card and find out! 😂. Keep the videos coming!!

Plus you should consider brazil, the northeast is very affordable and amazing weather and beaches. Fortaleza, maceio and recife. Rio is nice but go to barra de tijuca. The south of brazil is very nice as well florianopolis

Hey Wiliam I have to agree ,Mexico become expensive,last two years.Regarding Thailand,prices also went up in the most popular areas like Phuket because od russians.There are lot of them there.Beginning of this year I spent 2 months in Vietnam,and one in Thailand.Prices there,in Vietnam are still very affordable,and it is nice country.In 20 days time I am going again there.So if you go to South east Asia,try Vietnam.

Well I dont have a tropical beach here in central Nyköping but I only pay 500 USD in rent for 50 sqm 2 room and kitchen apartment. As far as Thailand. Depends a lot where you go. I spent 6 weeks there in early 2023, it is nowhere as cheap as it used to be. Still quite good value of course. Come along, come along with med to Guatemala in early january. Great, great adventure. 🙂

I've always had Thailand in mind as a place to live if I ever have enough money to leave the US permanently. That was totally based on what someone told me about it who used to live there, and it was similar to what you've said, as well. No restrooms, expensive, & cold--doesn't sound good--even though I really love the history & architecture in Europe. That would be great if the trains were free there. My dream is to live in paradise for the rest of my life. To me, paradise is beautiful turquoise waters to swim in right by my residence, and easy access to shopping for food, etc. And people who treat me well. A peaceful atmosphere would also be great. And, of course, affordable, as well. I watch your channel for suggestions as to where to find this, among other reasons.

Oh, William...how I can relate to becoming very picky about the places you visit. After 10 years of full-time (slow) travel, I'm just as conflicted about places to live as you are. What I have learned is that there is no perfect place. If there was a perfect place, we'd all be living there. If you find the perfect place, let us know. Lol!

If you travel only to compare places to live I understand that it can be a problem. I always travelled to explore other countries, that is why I get a kick out of. We are alll different and nothing is wrong or right. I consider myself more of a Gabriel Traveler type of traveller, just for reference 🙂 When I retire I will get to the "where will I live".

20 pounds or almost 10kg but I thi k fr the next trip it will be 15 pounds or 6 kg. Gonna buy a smaller bag
