High atop the peak of Craggy Pinnacle lies a hidden grove of rhododendrons, filled to the brim with birds of all kinds. Mockingbirds, Bluejays, American Robins, Catbirds, Pine Siskins, Tufted Titmouse, American Crow, House Finch, Cardinal, Chipping Sparrow, Eastern Bluebirds, Brown Headed Cowbird, and plenty more.

Without warning she turned in class, a pure mountain girl born and bred, and asked a personal question. I, an outlander, had never spoken to her before; she was way out of my reach. It was like the Earth moved. We courted. Married. 60 years and more married were we. Then she passed. A horrifying day. Now I know how much I lost. If the Lord is willing, I will see her again deep in the Smokies of NC where it all began. The video is shockingly perfect to evoke the memories. Thank you.
