“There is no greater love” is another great place to pull out all the bluesy language!

"Willow Weep for Me" and a ton of those tunes penned by Bobby Timmons, and many of Benny Golson's tunes. Best bet is to really take the time to listen before we figure out how we want to approach a tune.

Sweet Georgia Brown has a bunch of dominant sevenths , you can play a blues scale on the minor chord , VI - or get that flat five in there with a bit of bluesy inflection 😀

In answer to the question what other standards can you play blues over I immediately think of 2 where I do that: 1) St Thomas - as Sonny Rollins plays at least one chorus of pure D- blues (C- concert) in one of his recordings. 2) Blue in Green - can be very soulful to use D- concert blues over almost all of it

It's not really a standard, but "Sonny's Crib" and "Stolen Moments" (That's prob a standard) are also great tunes to apply the blues

Pretty much anything written or played by the Adderly brothers. And Horace Silver.😎

Music for piano for these tunes?

Just a note that it might confuse listeners by saying that Doxy is completely dominant 7 chords yet it contains a #4 dim7 chord 🙂🎶
