Hi Deano, many 'foreigners' don't get that we only really eat a full English when we're on holiday. They think we eat it all the time, and then eat it on holiday! So wrong! Also, I find that Brits are generally one of the most accepting cultures of new things, and we adopt and adapt more than most. It's one of the reasons, I believe, we are the most successful culture in recent history. I'm never ashamed to be British. Ever.

I cant understand why people don't mind their own business. I went to zante where restaurants were doing food that wasn't true greek food but still delish .

Because it’s a food review channel and there are only so many McDonald’s and full English breakfasts you can try abroad before reviews of the exact same thing over and over become entirely monotonous, samey and staid. A ‘food review channel abroad’, (emphasis on the words food review) should be just that, trying at least one national local dish that we can’t get over here in the UK. Why go abroad to eat a McDonald’s, just stay home and save your money.

@@RebekahMarnie I found what he said quite culturally dismissive and insensitive, and almost sounded like something a teenager would say if you told them that the birthday meal they are going to for their grandad is going to be at a tapas bar instead of McDonald's. I get the feeling the response will be 'you don't have to watch' though, rather than taking any criticism on the chin 🤣 'you're not going to see me eating things that I don't want to try' is not the sort of thing you expect to hear from a food reviewer. How the hell are you supposed to discover new things and tell us what's good if you have that sort of crummy attitude?

I really like Deano yet I don’t understand the notion of having a dedicated food review channel if your palate abroad doesn’t extend beyond Sunday dinners and an English fry up. How will Deano ever grow his channel to appeal to the masses when his food choices abroad are about as adventurous as that of a kids tea party. He dismissively said he doesn’t like Spanish food yet how would he know when he hasn’t truly tried it, or even attempted to find one Spanish dish to his liking. It’s a food review channel for the unsophisticated palate. There are only so many full English breakfasts you can review abroad before it just becomes eat, rinse, repeat. No adventure whatsoever. Sorry Deano, but this is perhaps some constructive criticism whether you choose to consider it is up to you.

@@RebekahMarnie the fact that he encapsulates Spanish cuisine as being tapas and potatoes with tomato sauce tells you all you need to know. I hope he doesn't have any viewers in Spain as they are very proud of their cuisine and this seemed like a bit of a slap in the face from a channel that they might otherwise have respected. I'm in two minds about whether he really avoided the included breakfast to save space for food out and about, or whether it was just 'too Spanish' 😂

I love lloret de mar and went on a day trip to waterworld in tossa de mar it was lovely, but I stayed in the samba hotel in lloret de mar it was lovely

Hi Deano I have been to Llorette De Mar so many times love it I go to route 66 to eat I know Jackie and Andy very well I'm from Glasgow Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Andy is from Scotland and Jackie from England 🇬🇧 great couple I usually go for a fortnight been to hotel samba, selba Mar, Hawiai, and Els Llores loved them all

Puerto del a Cruz is nice it's cheaper because the weather is usually over cast and there is not much of a beach pal there is a hotel called el tope which is good but it's top of a very steep hill just bear that in mind I hope you have a good stay and keep the videos coming pal.👍👍👍

Oh Deano you got some hiding from th two subscribers below! I knew what I wanted to say after watching the video which like you shouldn’t have to start this one by having to explain yourself or what you eat. I was thinking that you are 13:24 13:24 to much of a gentleman because I would just tell them to fcku off. Then I got thinking you can’t really do that because you’re trying to keep, well most people happy. Then I read the comments from the two boyos I felt they had a valid point especially because this is a food review channel. However, I like you enjoy my own grub. In 2019 we went to Portugal on holiday and I was determined to try local food. I’m not going into detail but I didn’t enjoy any of it. I even bought portague food from the supermarket to cook in the apartment but my girls ended up having fish finger sambos because they didn’t like it. Give me a good fry or fish/chicken n chips etc and I’m happy. Hell I’d be happy with a good stew on holiday. It’s my choice. Keep doing what you’re doing buddy you’re getting better 👍

Yeah nice one except this a "food review" channel, not a weather forecast programme. Deano isn’t trying to be the next Michael Fish presenting a weather report is he. He is trying to grow his channel as a career and engage his audience as an established ‘food reviewer’. And there simply lies the point.

You specifically said people go to Spain for the weather ‘not’ the food, do you think his subscribers want to watch him go to Spain to talk only about the weather then. What did he do in Spain for his last four videos on this channel, hmmm yes that’s right, why I do believe he reviewed food ! Albeit the exact same food he eats at home but nonetheless his recent Spain videos were indeed all food reviews. Keep up eh.

Deano didn’t go to Spain for the weather though did he. Not on this occasion. No, he went to review food abroad. Hence why we got McDonald’s, full English, mixed grill and a Sunday dinner. This was a travel vlog to present his ‘food reviews’ not a sightseeing non food report where he showed us tourist spots and talked about the weather.

@@spike7101I got pick pocketed on my way to a restaurant in the new town by 2 women one was talking whilst other went behind me and stole a fair amount of money without realises it until later.
