you made me to be honest with myself i have been struggling with loneliness since high school at the age of 17 im now 27 i still have that loneliness i had been co dependency im shy so i tend to reserved myself i just started my new job being that im christian i get single out im getting talk about and made fun of it been hard at times i want to quit but i know that i cant give up i always done that i feel i need to be more open get out more :) and spend more time with God.

I grew up in a very small town in Vermont, and I think I’ve known both feelings. The ominous feeling or presence of being alone, and the other feeling of knowing Jesus is with me. As a child I could sense both of these at different times. It might sound weird, but my spirit believes separation from God is the loneliness- the void- hell. And being still and in his presence can sometimes bring joy an a glimpse to what maybe heaven could be like with God?

What a gorgeous view! And what perfect timing with this video. I had a pity party last night because I just don't have friends outside of work who live near me, and it's not always easy to go do fun things by myself. Darn small town! Haha. Great advice!

I recently went through this with a major life decision I made! This decision resulted in a radical life/career change for me and I prayed and agonized over the decision for months because I wanted to be sure that was where the Lord wanted me. I ultimately decided to pursue the decision because I really felt that was where the Lord was leading with me! I know that even if I was wrong, the Lord will continue to lead me into His will, as long as I seek Him! Thanks for the video!

After my divorce, I wanted to do more things with my friends, but they were often busy. I then found different social groups on Facebook, which have been incredibly helpful! Some are just for women, some are mixed, some are international. We meet for events like dinner, going to the park/beach, going to the cinema, have parties, go camping, etc. I highly recommend it, because you can almost always find someone to do something with you and you can connect more with the people you click with.🥰👍

I struggle with this currently, moving to a new state and area, having time off of work, not being sure what to do with my time; recently I have just been going to the local coffee shops and over time I ran into someone from church or befriended the baristas (they know my order by heart now) LOL. just my starting up conversations, stepping out of my comfort zone, and sharing little moments with people is always a win! I've found that sharing my gifts with others is what God wants and then I become less "lonely"

Oh my goodness! You are not weird (or we both are lol) - my childhood dream was to be a martyr for Jesus, too! 😂 Also, great video!! Good to put things in perspective. After moving away to go to university, I've had a hard time with feelings of loneliness. Being busy with school, not participating in some other activities that to not honor God, and being away from my family and home church had all added up to a very lonely state. I definitely try to look to make someone else feel happy by ministering to those around me, or just being kind. I found an amazing church and I'm now part of a small group but even so, i definitely feel like I hold people at a distance. While I know God sees me in my lonely state, it still gets hard sometimes. I try to be thankful, but sometimes it's easy to throw a pity party for myself instead of keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus. This video was extremely encouraging; so glad I found your channel! Omg thank you for this video! I think it is so much easier when you hear someone say something that relates to things one deals with personally! I can also relate to the fact where sometimes I just need to get out of the house because my head feels like it's going crazy and just literally going out even if it's my backyard and being there in the patio with my dogs helps! Also another big important thing I agree on, is that it is sooo helpful to just simply ask for help form a trusted friend when you needed! And last but not least I agree with the fact that we should try to make friends and converse with others, or invite a friend first to go grab some coffee! Thank you again for this video!

I was wondering if you could do a part 2 of this... I love how you talk about ways to become more social, but I think there's another type of lonliness that was untouched here. I have friends that are very social, have a lot of friends, and are constantly with people and it's because they struggle with lonliness so greatly. They are so insecure that they cannot be alone. The moment they are alone, they feel hopeless and depressed and may even attempt to guilt friends into hanging out with them. I also have friends that are so alone, they lower their standards with the people they date because they are SO desperate to just be with someone. They will compromise their values or talk to exes who treated them poorly in the past. These type of people are so alone that it is more of a mental and spiritual insecurity than a lack of trying. They don't love themselves. I would LOVE to be able to send them a video that could help.

I have felt that way a lot but recently I feel like the Lord is pushing me to hang out with people to open myself up a bit and just stop being afraid of rejection and stop stressing about it.

I have no one to talk to living by myself I really hate living lonely life 1 2 have hardly any friends i need friends I feel like no they are no friends there for me living by myself stuck in a bad environment It’s depressing no one is here for me stuck like an animal in the cage most of the times and I am stuck in this hole

U wanna know something. I would walk in circles crying out to Jesus literally for a friend and I did that everyday for 6 months. To this day I dont have any friends. I bump into other Christians but they come and go like the wind. Im 32 without friends. I wasn't allowed to have friends for 13 years. Hardly allowed to talk to my sister. My children became my friends then I had to save them from their father so now they gone but being raised in church. Im a human that physically lost her mind because of loneliness. So i truly understand because I always wonder what good is a friend? Domestic abuse has varying rippling effects down to psychological. Tiffany that loneliness that im so use to is my reality for so many years. Can we be friends? I'm 32 and love Jesus. Love singing praise and worship. I like the old hymns really. Coffee is a must with bible study plus love to laugh. I wonder if Jesus has sense of humor.
