In this video, I break down the top foods you should be eating and supplements you should be taking to get rid of acne. I also cover the best face washes to use for clean, healthy skin and what foods you MUST get out of your diet immediately if you want to get rid of your acne.
Causes of Acne:
-One of the leading causes of acne today is the buildup of bad bacteria, yeast, and candida in the gut and digestive tract.
-Taking antibiotic drugs and birth control pills, drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and consuming excess sugar can increase the growth of bad bacteria, yeast, and candida within the body.

Before you mess around with your diet: - Get more sleep, of good quality and consistently 8 hours a night. - Drink more water (filtered if you can) - EXERCISE. This will help balance hormones... blood sugar... cleanse your body etc etc etc. - Make sure your hands are clean when you wash/moisturize and stop touching your face. - Get enough sunlight! But be careful if your skin is sensitive. - Change your pillow cases every other night because they breed bacteria. - Create a consistent wash routine (when you try something, you need to try it for at least 6 weeks) - Stop wearing foundation (I know its hard but it helps). THEN... move onto improving your diet. Sugar is a big one so reducing refined sugar is great, and getting more fiber is an easy one to start with. I.e get rid of white stuff and replace it with brown!

To be honest I think that the first thing that has to be changed actually is the diet, because when you think about it that’s what has the biggest influence on what’s happening in your body, in other words you need to heal within first and then you will start to see changes. Most of the things that you’ve mentioned are only external, of course, it might help a bit but i feel like omitting certain foods from the diet is going to help a lot more...

For everyone who still has acne after eliminating dairy like I did, try cutting out soy and every product that contains soy (you’d be surprised how many there are). This helped my skin TREMENDOUSLY as someone with deep european roots dairy doesn’t bother my skin but soy does! Also look into the potency of your supplements don’t just buy any old zinc or probiotic supplements. Buy an organic, vegan, plant-based, non gelatin based supplement. It really makes a difference

YES! I'm so happy to see someone who understand that acne is largely based on what goes IN your body. These tips are very helpful. I'm almost twenty two and I've never had terrible skin, but lately I've been getting bouts of bad cystic acne. It helped when I discovered several food allergies (gluten, soy and dairy were the big ones, getting rid of dairy helped most), but it still comes in waves and it's so awful. I eat a fairly healthy plant based diet most of the time, but I still eat a lot of oils and sugars. I'll try these tips though, and I'm hopeful I'll see a change!

I was told acne is not necessarily due to problems in the bowel. Apparently there is so many different reasons one could get spots or acne you can't pin it down to one specific problem. I consumed little to no sugar for a month and saw no difference, its unrealistic to put everyone into one category. People watching this right now could be as young as eleven or twelve or well into their thirties (doubtful all have the same problem within that range), I workout so I count my calories and amongst other things I get in a high amount of protein per day, low salt and sugar, I consume healthy fats like avocado and if I'm using oil I use 1% oil or sunflower/olive/rapeseed oil and fibre from some wheat's (gluten free is not realistic or achievable for my diet) and I STILL have acne... HOWEVER! I'm still a teenager therefore most likely have a hormonal imbalance which is probably the main reason for my acne. I just want people to realise that everyone is different.

I used to get breakouts on a regular basis (even worse when on my period) but once I went keto ( eating no sugar and fewer grains as mentioned) I saw my skin clear up. I now have the skin I used to be jealous of. I think having the acne also made me use more chemicals on my face leading to drier skin. Now my skin looks moisturized and is clear!

Stacie Jimenez couldnt be more true tbh. I’m always surfing google and the causes for my acne are 101. Don’t know how and where to start. Sometime I think it’s hormonal acne. My acne is more pin like pimples underneath the skin. Kind of like hard whiteheads. They won’t pop, won’t leave, and worsen with heat.

Mehek Khan I’ve had really bad hormonal acne where it covered all over my cheeks and chin area. I’ve avoided oral medication because I’ve heard bad side effects but I was so desperate! After 6 months of torture with accutane my face cleared up for a couple months but still broke out badly, and on top of that I had scarring. Recently I’ve used ordinary products serums for the past two weeks so far I’ve loved my results. So I would suggest maybe some ordinary products niacinamide 10% and zinc 1% helps reduce with sebum. Look up the product they have high recommendations. Plus maybe eat out sugar, add veggies and half a gallon of water a day🙂 just trying to help out anyone who struggles with acne since I know it’s a frustrating situation

Quitting dairy to only once or twice a month stopped breakouts, I realized Dairy was causing reactions to my skin, I was breaking out all over my face and legs and back for years, I would drink milk and yogurt and cheese on nearly all my meals, stopping dairy stopped breakouts.

I do almost everything exactly how you describe in the video: candida cleanse, lots of organic veggies and proteins, no sugar, no dairy, no gluten, no grains, no oils except coconut. I take vitamin A, D, zinc, berberine, and probiotics. I still have acne. My skin is better than it used to be, but it's depressing to work so hard and still wake up with more spots. I know there's more to it. I just wish I knew what the rest of the solution is.

You might be eating something that you’re intolerant too without realizing. There’s food intolerance/sensitivity to see what foods cause inflammation (even healthy foods can be a trigger for some). Also if you eat too much of something healthy it could be bad too! Did you know if you over eat on spinach it can break you out? It’s all about eating a balance of everything.

Thank you Doc. You are the best. Keep doing this great work. Skin specialists and doctors dont tell you this, instead they feed you with lots of heavy doses of medicines and creams for months sometimes years, and the issue remains unresolved or enlarges. Then you go to another one and nothings different.

His comment about yeast has stayed in the back of my head for years. Recently I had a dandruff breakout and I bought some nizoral. It absolutely NUKED the dandruff and I’m happy about that but what I was extremely surprised from was that it also started clearing my skin. The active ingredient ketoconazole destroys any fungus and also acts as an anti inflammatory. The pieces come together.

Hi guys, I had suffered from acne for years and years and i tried all the clean diet and products. I avoided sugar and dairy, it helped a little but didn’t really clear my acne. Then I donated blood early this year and after more than a month it cleared my acne. I still get a few zits here and there before or during my period but not those big pimples. Last month I donated blood again for the second time and since then my acne never came back. My skin now has totally cleared but i still stay away from sugar and dairy. I just wanna share this with you. Not only you share the gift of life but it does really help clear your skin. I hope I can help someone out there by sharing this. Have a blessed day/night ❤️🙂
