I watched this film and I regretted it once it was finished. If your not norwegian? then the ending is completely stupid and pointless. Maybe next time the makers will think of a proper ending to a film, BEFORE they make it. Don't waste your time with this one.

They're more like a scouting outpost meant to report if they see anything coming. Pretty sure the bomb is there just to be detonated if they're overrun by enemy forces. Not that that matters in this scenario where This entire planet is nothing more than a giant bowl of soup

I can't be more grateful for this recap! First time I saw the trailer, some weeks ago, it seemed a very promising movie and made me wonder what might have happened to Earth and the rest of civilization, hoping to get it explained in the movie, now I realize that is left unexplained and the action remains limited to such platform. think the ending was a bit obvious, since Hendricks knew that there was a spy among them and it clearly wasn't bains since he was all too eager to leave, obviously wasnt Hendricks himself and since Sullivan was the only other person willing to to leave when the boat was fixed, it was quite obvious Cassidy was the spy since she quite obviously said she would stay behind

I have heard of those. They were built during WW2 to defend against Germany. There are plans to build them into either luxury apartments or pirate radio stations. However, since they're in shambles, I don't know.

As theyre so dilapidated and in such rough shape, i dont know if they abandoned the idea or not. It use to be its own nation, sealandia, or fortlandia, or something, im not too sure. But you use to be able to buy one of them bogus lord or ladyship titles from them. Again, not sure if thats still goin on, but just more of the history of the sea forts. Theyve had an interesting and colorful life lol

Realistically, the keys are not within one person's reach. Also, both have to be turned and held at the same time, making it really difficult for a rogue officer to launch by themselves.

0:07 Interesting if you pause and look at the map, you can see the former outline of the continents. The enemy island appears to be the extreme northern rockies around Northern BC, Yukon, Canada. The southern island strangely appears to be where the South China sea is today. Oddly Australia is shifted far north from its current position in the world. No other continents appear to have moved as drastically. But if Australia did shift that far north for whatever reason I suppose it would push up the south China seabed possibility. The platform is maybe Southern Greece or Crete roughly. Very odd map.

i think the person who edited the map doesn't know geography well, the rockies shouold've been submerged and the andes should've been the islands, they're higher. And i think the editor who created the map meant the himalayas to be the other continent and not the south china sea. the small dots under the continent should've been the indonesian islands where its full of volcanic activity

The ending is kind of crazy when you think about it. *Spoilers* She was a traitor who killed their relief crew which effectively doomed them to living on this outpost for the rest of their lives and he was willing to forgive her. Talk about being a simp 😂

I found this movie on a website for free and let me say it was not good. The acting could be better but I really don't blame the actors on this one. The story was kind of all over the place and it didn't turn into a who sabotaged everything until over half way in and at that point you have a 50/50 shot at guessing since there is only 4 people. They for some reason try to make you think one person and then reveal the other in what was not a surprising plot twist at all. It was never explained why no one was responding to the post other than one blink and you miss it scene and even then didn't explain anything. Something else bothers me about this movie is that this post seems to hold the only weapon keeping one side from attacking the other so you think losing communication would send out a party or army to investigate. Don't hold your breath on that one cause it would seem neither side really cares at all. For how important this one post is one side only sends one person but her explanation is so bad that you don't know if they sent her or she did it on her own. The other side doesn't even care enough to investigate why they haven't received a message in who knows how long let alone what happened to their ship that had a crew, supplies, and replacements on board.

@Noah Fuller yea I forgot that part and how these 2 islands don't line up with mountain ranges high enough to survive. The middle seemed to be like mount Everest. It was so early in the movie that everything else over shadowed it lol

Well, the Earth's crust can still shift around just fine. But if some big catastrophe event (or a chain of them) happened before the sea level rose to the point in the movie for whatever reason, it can still be barely used as a reason the map became as it is in the beginning. Maybe there's enough underground water to make up for the lack of it on the surface (including the melted ice caps)?

“He’s keeping her key as punishment for her hesitation”. That’s not how that works. If she was given a key along with him then she is the same or equal rank and he can’t just “punish” her. If he’s the sentinel commander then he could lock her up until her actual superior could punish her but he’d still need to give her the key back because she was trusted with the second key for a reason. If she hesitates then she is using her judgement to asses the situation and she did eventually give him the key demonstrating she came to the same conclusion as him just not as rashly and when killing your own men is a possibility you shouldn’t be rash about it in the first place lol

She was emotionally compromised at that point. That's why she hesitated. But on the other hand cap was looking out for enemies & infiltrators. Since it is "film" funny how she turns out to be the spy. Mostly for plot purposes.

Based on one. In truth the map reveals they are Southern Greece or Crete or maybe Cyprus. Cyprus in particular having a long history of British presence on the island before becoming independent and then EU Member could be the source of how the design came to be like that. I'm assuming it could even be placed on the capital, Nicosia/Leukosia.

I'll stick with the Bible. Earth will continue until God says it's time. In fact the fact that prophecy after prophecy continues to come to fulfillment it only stands as proof that what's really coming is a lot crazier then any movie. It doesnt make sense at all besides the biggest mindfuck of all that she didnt just .. you know .. kill the other three people on her plattform or just call her friends to attack the plattform since they obviously cant detonate the bomb because SHE had one of the two keys to actually activate the bomb .. she couldnt do THAT but she was able to just lure away the ship and kill all of them. imagine how far out she had to be to not get picked up on the radar and she just put a pylon out there (at that point it also should be mentioned that wtf they need the pylon for ? How did she get the gun in the first place since it was Henricks gun, no ? Would be pretty nice as well if someone could explain to me how a person just randomly dies by falling into water/picking up plastic ? Also ending doesnt make sense at all .. i would 100% shoot her .. she killed two people in cold blood and just because the bomb is reprogrammed doesnt mean you cant activate it once again so shes probably just stalling for time and since communication has been fucked its probably cause she sabotaged it which means shes just gonna take the next chance to just phone her country .. but no, lets make some cute "oh we are gonna defend this station" ending where she totally doesnt kill him in his sleep the next night and really totally keeps her promise now !? Also since Henricks was smart enough to recognise there is a traitor among them he should have known its her .. why would she hesitate to shoot the ship which at that point had a pretty good chance to be an enemy ship ( cause for whatever fucking reason the other guy thought "yeah no lets ignore a call to clarify the situation") but then end up insisting on staying ? Also wtf was the plan from the beginning ? Lets kill people and let ship go away so that you are now stuck on the plattform without food .. something something .. profit ?
