What if I participate in a passion project online? Like I don't create one, but I teach younger kids about religions and human body systems?

Thank you very for this information. I got hired as an administrative in a local boarding school and this summer with a very limited amount of student. They have asked me to do a gamd and fun experience for the students. Most of our students (Middle and High schooler) are international students. They are thinking about field trip to a mall, zoo, watch movies, water games, etc. etc. etc. At first I felt I am wasting my time if I am doing these activities with them. I am more into helping students improving their personal growth. So your content has inspired me to create a summer program that will help focus to grow their academic/personal/SPV . . . I am on fire now. Thank you again for the inspiration. As I create these program I am sure I have a lot of questions. One thing that comes to mind is do you use any profile test that will help students to access their tendencies. One thing that I would include in your 4 steps is the 5th step which is Iteration - I think that we have to allow students to adjust in their passion project- perhaps revisit strategy or tweak brainstorming or re-frame execution. Would creating a KZfaq Channel where you post short films count as a passion project? Even if it doesn’t focus on a specific topic like your student’s women empowerment organization did?

I think this passion project would be showcasing your filmmaking/acting/videography etc skills instead of your feminism. So, if you want to demonstrate that, then this is great for you!

Thank you for making this informative video! I was thinking of making my own passion project by combining my interest in politics and art. Would making a website showcasing my art and possibly making a digital art book be enough for this to consider being a passion project? Thank you!

I believe it's simply who you are/ what your beliefs are. If you have participated in many math competitions and have created a business and have leadership roles in clubs, that would make you a math person and leader

If I chose to do a business, should I file it as an LLC,DBA, etc? Because there is a significant cost associated with that. But without it will it be legal?

from what i know, passion projects need to be fully initiated and created by you. the art festival itself won’t be created by you so maybe think of creating an event thing where you take charge completely :)

I'm really passionate about so many things and I feel really stuck because I don't know what my passion is. With the formula you mentioned (Academic Interest + Personal Interest + SPV), I struggle to know where my interest truly lies. Do you or anyone else have advice for this?

I really love art. I've been in exhibits since middle school, I got an award from the city, I enter contests, posted it online and have gotten a lot of followers, I sell art, I use to give it away. I also have an art tiktok. Is this good enough for extracurriculars? I'm just really nervous. I've done side ec's like NHS, violin (hobby), yoga and track (1 yr). But I feel like this isn't enough, I'm aiming for UCLA.

Those are good extra curriculars but try to aim for more. Maybe starting a project where you showcase art works that tell a story. Or create a website selling your art work. There are a lot of things you can come up with

Hi! So conducting research or helping a professor conduct research is considered a passion project?

Yes! But it helps if they're a professor of a prestigious school so they can give you a great letter of reccomendation. But anything works!
