I really appreciate this video on such a sensitive topic. I feel that today's christians give off the wrong impression that in order to be christlike you have to be involved in politics. what I also feel is that many christians have lost sight of christlike love and focus more on politics.

I physically raised my hand without even thinking about the fact that this is a KZfaq video & no one can see me doing it, that is how done I am with political-season Facebook haha. Also, this perspective is incredible! Thank you for it. I've never heard the context of the story of Jesus' response to the Pharisee's question before.

Dang I appreciate you so much man, this video really reinsured my beliefs as a Christian and a person who's involved in politics. As a young man living in the bay the criticism and insults that I have to endure, but still stay in the class is sometimes overwhelming. This happens not because it challenges my faith in Christ, no it doesn't. But seeing how far away they are from the love of our perfect lamb is really heartbreaking...kudos to you brother!

Great point! Politics are not the true solution, but they are necessary. Politics are a practical application of spiritual conviction. Government is a God-ordained entity and Christians are called to pray for our leaders and as citizens of the U.S. we have the privilege and responsibility to be involved in the political process.

I praise God for you brother there is a lot of christian who has not understand these deep truth about politics i'm so please that the lord has reveal to you the truth about that sensitive matters.Its only when we know Jesus personally that we will understand that we should have nothing to do with politics. In my country its compulsory to vote otherwise we got fine when I use to have money i will just pay the fine now the fine has increase so much that I cant afford to pay so I decided to do my research about the subject and i find a lot of bible verses to support my believe and I send it to the authority i never heard from them since that the power of knowledge we need to know whom are we obeying, believing specially in our days where there is so much corruption and crime happening in this domain by voting those people in power we will have to give an account to God why we did it.....

I agree, for the most part, but we need to remember that the only reason we are able to express anything religiously in a public manner, is because of politics...Just look at the difference between North vs South Korea.. It's politics that allow you to freely exercise and share your faith in South Korea, but not the North...So, in that respect, politics should be very important to Christians

I think there isn't anything wrong with Christians being active in politics. It's not something that we're charged with doing specifically, but it seems like a very important thing to be active in. And that goes for regular people and politicians themselves. I mean, isn't it good to have Christian politicians being a good influence? But at the same time, we need to keep in mind that the _real_ change comes at the ground level. Christians _are_ charged with loving their neighbors. Neighbors aren't subjects or citizens, they're the equals all around you every day. It's one thing to change the world through political means. But it's even more powerful to change the world around you in your every day life. We don't need the government to do that for us, and they can't do that for us. We take care of ourselves.

Amen, I grew up around heavy politics and was involved in it for a long time until the lord showed me that he is far above political sides as we should be ourselves. We need more Christian's rising above political sides and taking the side of Christ and real truth! Im so disappointed to see corrupt political parties laying claim to Christianity for selfish political reason almost always focused on money and power! Exactly the opposite of the things we should be focusing on in our lives. So many are being trapped in these worldly concepts.

Should Christians be involved in politics? My Answer: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FOR GOODNESS SAKE GET INVOLVED IN POLITICS CHRISTIANS.

For now, our part is to be oppressed by the world, and to remain separate from the world as it is against God and for sin. You can get involved in politics, but concern yourself with God's will and kingdom before you concern yourself with man's wills and kingdoms.

I love what your saying Jeff and I mostly agree. But what do you do with the political activism started by Wilberforce and the Clapham Sect? Wasn't ending slavery in England imposing Kingdom ethics? Similarly with Dr King and the Civil Rights movement. I know that Jesus and Paul did not encourage political activism or revolution in Ancient Rome. But I sometimes wonder if ppl have made that prescriptive for modern day Christians when in reality it's not at all prescriptive.

Thank you for saying this, I have been watching Christian getting so caught up in the politics and even putting leaders above Jesus. The arguing and division over something that is so temporary and pointless in the eternal sense. When as Christian (Christ follower) we are to follow Christ/ emulate Christ and live peaceably with all people in love. We are all susceptible to getting caught up in the affairs of this world, that’s why we have to be careful and be aware of our own nature and also how the enemy will use you. Since christians are not called to impose the law of the kingdom into those that aren't in the kingdom (which I fully agree with) this creates a tension for me about the sanctity of life & abortion. So should christians be pro life or pro choice? I don't know, maybe human life isn't a political stance or associated with one in Jesus' eyes but in this world it seems to be. Not to start a huge debate, but I'm curious as to what your thoughts are because this honestly confuses me & seems to be contradictory. Thank you for sharing your wisdom in this video!
