The military need more strong troopers like him. If the military has trouble keeping or attracting enlistment ..do they ever wonder why? Who wants to work in the public if no one has your back? You are expected to be robots? These Calvary Troopers are expected to be perfection in their riding skill, kit, horse grooming and ceremonial duty which is only part of their training..if not…they would not be sitting on the house in the box. They are also combat trained ..they are not sissy boys or girls. Society is not getting better in public they are getting worse. Thank goodness the MOD are doing better on speaking up and breaking up trouble maker visitors behaving badly. The crowds in time have become overwhelmingly large. It such a privilege to be that close up to horses and troopers on duty. It sad sometimes to see that privilege abused.

Paint a line on the floor to provide public access restriction. Assign a Police Officer to be directly between each horse box, at ALL times. Change the sign: DO NOT TOUCH THE HORSE STAY BACK 4'

I have said this before and will say this again: people need to be more respectful! Those are the King's Guards, not a photo op. And again: Compare this to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. If you think any of these antics would fly there, think again. The Tomb is guarded 24/7, with ABSOLUTELY NO SHENNANIGANS TOLERATED! Check it out if you don't believe it!

I've been told at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington; the Guards will use DEADLY FORCE to keep people from pulling this sort of B.S.! Which is how ALL MILITARY SOLDIERS should be respected!

He is a very able trooper ..he will be missed. Sad to see him go. Why does the DOD let these good ones be mistreated while on duty by stupidity from tourists? They should never be allowed to have their horse mauled and say nothing. Have the trooper made a joke or be touched by the public without saying stop. Some of society has no class or respect as a visitor in another country. You have to be authentic in your request to stop behavior. Many times genteel politeness is ignored as weak and encouraging more disrespectful taunting behavior as a game at the Trooper and their mounts expense.

How stupid are these people? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. The trooper made his boundaries quite clear, but they still ignored him. Well done him. They should put him on Ormonde. 🤣

Was in London and passed these guys. The heat was crazy. Yet the horse and ridder stayed in place. What people don't seem to get Is the horse can go off at any moment. Those people are strangers. I was surprised that people could walk up so close

Its really a sad sign of the times that they need police on duty now full time at this site mostly just to protect the guards and horses from crazy tourists. I lived in London in the 80s and dated a Blues and Royal i dont recall a police presence back then. Have people really gotten so much more ignorant and disrespectful over the years?
