I would not be surprised if Erica's accident occured at the same time she sent her final text. Little tip for the overly concerned friends out there: If you know someone is on their way somewhere, don't call or text them until enough time has passed for them to make it to their destination + 15 mins for safe measure.

Not only did they tell Jonathan it was a woman who was the secret crush- they let him think it was his ex wife, who he still loved and was desperately hoping would get back together with him. He’d been trying to win her back during that time, so he really thought it was her. And he made a point to tell them that he was really shy and he absolutely did not want to be a part of anything crazy like a guy being the secret crush. He was humiliated but not for the reasons people try to say. He wasn’t homophobic, he was broken. He was friends with Scott. This wasn’t a man who hated gay people. This was someone who was incredibly shy and vulnerable, who lost the love of his life and was depressed and lonely, got excited when the producers led him to believe she was the one with the crush, he even bought like a new suit, planned a whole night and day with her for after the show, only to be crushed even more and humiliated. Then the note after the fact was the final straw. I’m not condoning or supporting his actions. But I don’t think people realize how broken he was. He called 911. Turned himself in. He was broken.

That first story from the Jenny Jones show was such BS. Can you imagine if women killed every man who made an unwanted, inappropriate advance? 😅
@edgaralanfrog2 жыл бұрын
After the show, Scott was continuously flirting with Johnathan, who was adamant that he was straight. He and that woman he was with on the show, even started a rumor that they went out for drinks after the taping and they all had sex (or Scott and Jonathan did, I can’t remember exactly) and when they got home, 3 days after the taping, Scott left a note with sexual innuendos that just caused Jonathan to lose it. He didn’t want to be harassed about his sexuality especially with whatever Scott and that woman had lied and said happened while they were in Chicago for the show. I’m not saying what Jonathan did was right or that Scott deserved it, but you can only push a man so far when he’s about to be shown on national television with a guy who has a crush on him and was now continuing to cheekily try and sleep with him. Truly don’t think he should’ve won a lawsuit against Jenny Jones or the production, they didn’t push Scott to flirt or write a suggestive note to Jonathan, and they didn’t force Jonathan to do anything sexually with Scott - they simply joked about the surprise of who had a crush on who, that’s the whole point of the show.
@themadhatter42462 жыл бұрын
You have got to look at it the context of a woman wanting another woman who doesn't want to know about it. Think of it like that. Would you be happy then for another woman to do that to you on national TV when you're not that way inclined. Just saying.

@edgaralanfrog2 жыл бұрын
@@TheSquareOnes I wasn’t saying anything about women, I was just stating what happened and why some bigoted people would read about the week that led up to Scott being murdered; it didn’t even take much to get him killed. Jonathan was raised in the church and was afraid of being seen as a gay man, especially to his father and he had to eliminate the cause. That’s all. The tv show and flirting would’ve bugged me, the note too, but I don’t think I’d kill someone for it. The very thought of having his family and neighbors think he was gay broke him, and it’s ridiculous that he went straight to murdering him. Why not just beat him up?

This is a sad story but also incredibly weird to hear about this super small town (20,000 residence) that I love so much. Nobody knows about this town but its on freaking youtube. Thank you for doing this story, love.
