Sol had so much potential and was unique compared to other villains like Tigerstar, but did so little and I was left underwhelmed

It's the fact that he disses all of the Clans beliefs, and Blackstar just goes _'ah alright, you seem cool'_

I always thought he was better without the Skyclan backstory. He seemed almost alien before we found out about it, then afterwards he just became another petty cat throwing a strop although it was his fault because he couldn't be bothered to pull his weight for the clan anyway.

I like that Akira thinks Sol can become good. I mean Sol is such a good character he was just poorly written Edit: They should totally bring Sol back! But they should let the novella come out first and then let Sol come back. See Erins that is called good no GREAT writing

I've always loved Sol since we first got introduced to him. He was almost perfect in "Power of Three", but I HATE how dirty they did him in "Omen of the stars". He became just your average Saturday villain, who likes to make up stories not because he knows how to manipulate, but because he wants... attention ? Seriously, how poorly he was written in "Forgotten warrior"... So that's why I think your take on Sol would do him justice.

I feel like Hollyleaf would have been a good candidate to become close to Sol as well, because I find her feeling lost and desperate to be the best she can be, a similar longing to Sol’s desperation to being a warrior shown during SkyClan & The Stranger. I also find Hollyleaf impressionable and would be easy to manipulate, especially when she was having her identity crisis. Also I used to have a theory that Sol was Tree’s father because of their similarities and parallels but that’s not true as of Tree’s Roots.

I say... Have Sol SUMMON THE DARK FOREST Give Sol the power to summon ghosts! Imagine how climactic that'd be. Each and every cat would be like: "Where's the dark forest cats?" He'd pin Hollyleaf to the bottom of the shallows and Lionblaze would leap at him in blind rage. He'd dodge to the side and Lionblaze would kill Hollyleaf. Lionblaze would then furiously pin sol to the ground, and when Sol attempted to attack him, it'd be ineffective. Sol would call to the other Dark Forest cats for them to save him, saying they're stupid and mouse-brained when they don't. Lionblaze was about to kill Sol, but Jayfeather tells him to summon StarClan and they'd let him come out alive. So he did, and he ran. This'd leave him open to coming back as well. What do you think? What could I change? Let me know! This was a small au I'd thought was cool ever since I thought of it, but never really found anywhere to share it. However, when I saw this video, I was literally SUMMONED.

You made some really good points Akira! I would love to see Sol in any way that you've put out. I really enjoyed Sol as a villain but I agree that he was very under used and became wasted potential. Giving him a real connection with one of the main characters would've been amazing making him a cooler villain! I also really liked how you compared him to Tree in the way you did, I hadn't even made that connection until now!

Ooo I love these ideas for Sol! I'm planing on writing my own story that connects with all what happened in his life on him with some added information. I think it would be so cool if he and Jayfeather had that connection! Both characters have a lot in common, like you said!

Honestly, I sort of like Sol. I really loved him in SkyClan and the Stranger, because you feel bad for him and want him to be a warrior, but at the same time, you know he can’t. I feel like when people talk about Sol, it’s always Power Of Three and Omen Of The Stars. It’s rare for people to talk about SkyClan and the Stranger. If Sol was to return, maybe he, Tree, maybe Spiresight, and Ashfur can have this large fight. Or maybe he redeems himself(if Ashfur can do it, so can Sol) and he teams up to fight off Spiresight(if he becomes an official dangerous villain.) Or maybe he and Sleekwhisker can return together, with Sol manipulating Sleekwhisker to help him. There is SO MUCH that can happen if Sol returns, and if he does, I’m all for it

I still personally think Sol would be the more interesting option for TBC's villain. Especially since he has vendetta against the warrior code and clan lifestyle, which was highlighted in The Forgotten Warrior. The Forgotten Warrior, Chapter 25: "Leave the Clans alone," Hollyleaf growled. "You have hurt us enough." "Never!" Sol retorted. "Not until I’ve destroyed everything the Clans stand for." His lips peeled back in a snarl. "Many seasons ago, I knew another of your Clans, far away in a gorge. They scorned me, too; they told me I wasn’t good enough to be one of their precious warriors! So I vowed to prove to all of you that the warrior code means nothing. In the end, you will kill one another for reasons that aren’t worth so much as a mousetail." Hopefully he'll show up in TBC or the next Arc.

I feel like at the end of PoT, Hollyleaf shouldn’t have just gone crazy. What I mean is that Sol should have convinced her to tell everyone their secret, try to poison Leafpool and run into the tunnels. In the books Hollyleaf is constantly talking about how Sol has a way with words and that his voice makes her feel like she can trust him, so it would be easy for him to convince her. He should have used the fact that she is devoted to the warrior code to help manipulate Hollyleaf.

I really hope Sol comes back. He has so much potential still!! And if they never bring him back, all that potential would be wasted. And now is literally *the **_perfect_** time to bring him back* . The Clans have lost the ability to commune with StarClan! They -have- had an imposter running ThunderClan, and Mistystar isn't exactly doing the best job running RiverClan right now. Sol could come back and use the events of the Broken Code as proof that StarClan is at best unreliable and at worst a hindrance to the Clans. He could *totally* bring at least one of the clans over to his side. Imagine how cool it would be if WindClan, ThunderClan and RiverClan united under Sol, Ashfur and Mistystar against StarClan, and ShadowClan, SkyClan and the rebels had to join together as the only cats left in support of StarClan. Or, even better, you could have all 5 clans fall apart _completely_ , splintering off into two groups: one trying to save StarClan, led by Squilf and Tigerheartstar, and one trying to live apart from StarClan, led by Sol, Ashfur and a deranged, dying Mistystar. You could have clanmates fighting each other for once! Like what if Breezepelt and Nightcloud sided with Sol, but Crowfeather sided with Squilf? That would be crazy!! And then maybe Mistystar could die and Mapleshade or Darktail could possess her body, like with Bramblestar. Either way, Sol *needs* to come back. He's just such a great villain!! Sol is already my favorite cat lol So I wrote the starclan sign (to drive out sol) failing "The forest will fall..." The six cats chanted "The forest will fall......" Blackstar struggled through the branches silently. Littlecloud was the only cat to notice the six cats chanting. "Can't you get star clan over here or anything?" Lionpaw whispered to Jaypaw. "To be fair, the stars are covered in clouds." Holly leaf said, forgetting to stay quiet. Jaypaw covered Hollyleaf's muzzle with his paws, but he was too late. "I knew something was up!" Shouted Blackstar, standing on one of the fallen tree trunks. "Come out where we can see you!" Blackstar's fur was fluffed up, making him seem even more big and powerful to the apprentices and kits. "Should we go out?" Dawnkit mewed. Tigerkit, not taking the time to think, automatically stepped out of hiding as his leader told him to. Knowing that if Blackstar were to attack, which he doubted, Tigerkit didn't stand a chance. Jaypaw followed Tigerkit, Flicking his tail to signal the others to follow. Blackstar looked more angry then Jaypaw had ever seen him. "Who's idea was this?!" Blackstar shouted. Littlecloud backed away from the cats. "It was mine, Blackstar." Jaypaw said to the shadowclan leader, trying to sound confident and not scared more then ever before. "Firestar will hear about this then." Blackstar spat, walking to thunderclan territory. Jaypaw's mind exploded with worry. Did Blackstar really mean to go to Firestar? Or was he just trying to scare him? Either way there was nothing he could do now.

I was OK with Outcast, but really I just liked the fact that Stormfur and Brook were in it. I missed them ☺️

I have this fanfiction concept where Sol and Darktail were in BloodClan as kits and they bonded together but Sol was weak as heck and left to wander, while Darktail eventually grew strong, gathering hordes of cats to later create the Kin.

Let’s be honest here Sol, so far, is the ONLY VILLAIN who was right As Starclan only interferes when they’re in trouble too. Not to mention reincarnating cats who don’t deserve it (cough cough cinderpelt cough cough) and interfering the lives of Half clan cats or cats who have taken a mate from another clan They clearly have the ability TO interfere with the clans considering the fact that they could travel down to the living realm and fight other dead/alive cats, but choose not too, even when the main protagonists are in danger. Which is oddly suspicious since they pick cats themselves to save their pathetic asses… Edit: I forgot to add, they make cats like Goosefeather’s life miserable for their own selfish gain. Not to mention they let cats like Ashfur into the Starclan with the world’s sorriest excuse and didn’t even REALIZE HE was the cause of the ENTIRE TBC arc until the 4th book

Yes, Sol should return. Yes, he was totally underutilized. Yes, I want to see him wordfighting with Tree (who I deeply believe is his half-brother) Yes, Sol should have a special connection with a Leafpool's kit. But this cat CAN'T BE Jayfeather. I know you love him Akira, but Hollyleaf would be awesome in this role. What could reunite them isn't a lonely past with mistrust and rejection (oh, in fact, it could) but simply love. Hollyleaf wouldn't let her emotions take over because she is obsessed by the Warrior Code, and she knows more than everyone what could forbidden love lead to. Sol would also prefer his cause than his love, but the two would love each other. That could explain why Sol didn't promise not to return to destroy the Clans : he doesn't want to lie to the she-cat he loves. Explain me why Sol has told the truth, if it's not because of love ?

There are so many questions that need answering. How did you know about the eclipse? What is his exact relationship with Midnight and Purdy? What we're his feelings while living with two legs? What happened to him after omen of the stars!?

All your reasons are super true . Sol was basically introduced for no purpose, of course , besides the fact her told shadow clan star clan didn’t exist . He was defeated way too easily . Holly leaf attacked him and he ran away , honestly the erins should have found more for him to do . His story ended easily and smoothly. Not right for a villain . And then also , if sol had a novella , that would be epic but of course he just flew by casually .

You know what would be even more interesting? If Blackstar said Starclan is real, but it's terrible. Starclan has a lot of power and could prevent a lot of things (and not make you do a lot of terrible things, e.g. kill the kitten, because he has a bad future), but it really doesn't react and it sets its favourites. Maybe then the leaders would realize that something is wrong and would order justice from Starclan, maybe even take the power away from the three.. But that would change a lot of things. hm, a cool idea for an au
