I ride an unrestricted ZX12R, 2000 model, and I have never gotten bored with it, more than enough power for me, just brain, wrist and no electronics, and 72 years old, late uncle was a racing sidecar passenger, Britain and Isle of Man, so keeping the dream alive.

I too have an A1 which I've had since April 1st 2000. I have never been bored by my ZX12. 24 years later and I still get excited every time I go for a run.

I have a 2013 ZZR 14 Special Edition, and bought it after working up to it as , 🤔 not a dream bike but a bike I've always wanted to own because love the fact it can travel at light speed ( occasionally !) It never seems to run out of steam like a train she goes and goes and I know I'll never be able to use all her performance (except in a very exceptional circumstance ! 😉👍) The adrenaline kick she gives sometimes can't be beat ❤️ When I did get dissillusioned with her I changed her by fitting an ABM straight bar kit and loved it even more without the aches. ( knocking on a bit ) I also fitted a fully adjustable rear Nitron shock to improve the ride with luggage and pillion with adjustable preload because it's not a performance edition. Even with fully loaded luggage and pillion she still FLYS ! 1 downside is maintenance ie , plug change 😂 Changing the bars made her a different bike as does putting little treats on it like titanium fasteners, heated grips, hugger and getting suspension set up for me. It's real nice owning a bike that can literally blow most bikes and sports cars away and not even break a sweat 😉 I've owned/ ridden V max's gpz's, X4, XJR'S GSXR's and none compare with the size and power of Kawasaki's matriarch of power ! 👍👍😉

There is a stunter called _tippin back_ , that I never seen ride anything but his red/white F4i and I'm sure sticking with that one bike for everything and always practicing with it has made him such a good rider. I feel like a lot of people burn out quickly on a lot of things they do, but it doesn't have to be that way if the enjoyment and excitement comes from mastery and exploration of something rather than just experiencing something.

I had a 2017 gen2 and I get bored, before you want to insult me, I bought it meanwhile my slow mechaninc started to rebuild motor on my gen1 modified, flashed, sec butterflies bypassed, and the best, the riding position the ABM handlebar gives, and the sound on the scorpions mufflers without baffles. After a year of repair, I was thinking to sold both and buy a k1600, but, I 1 week before the old one was repaired I sold the 2017, and paid the machanic, get back to the 2008 and fall in love again. Never came to my head stipid thinkings on 6cyl bike. I love my old zzr1400

Personally, I can't get enough of it. Part of the reason is, I'm still learning, with each and every next ride, how to handle it better. The more skills I gain, the more performance I can squeeze out, consequently the more enjoyable the ride is. Imagine you can fully control this throttle, open it with confidence and feel the accelaration of this missile... add elbow dragging in the turns and there you have it...

You read my mind. Having a zzr1400 for 10 years now, not bored but looking for a bit more regarding satisfaction. Tested the ktm super adventure 1290 and boy does it bring a smile to my face. But than back on the zzr1400 is just another level. Still don't know what to do.

If you still have the stock ECU and live in the states, please consider Ivans Performance ECU flash. I bought a 2017 model new and although I liked it, I was somewhat bored with it after the first day, especially in the low to mid-range. I'm not associated with Ivan in any way, but I can't say enough about how his ECU flash transformed the bike. Throttle response is perfect. It is smooth and predictable everywhere, but POWERFUL everywhere. Not a hint of popping or any problem ever. I am thrilled with every ride now and mid-range roll ons in 3rd and 4th gear are so addicting (and don't need to be anywhere near 100% roll-ons to be addicting). I wish Goblin could experience the difference. He's commented before about the lack of low and mid-range excitement. If you get Ivan's ECU flash those thoughts are just a memory in the rear-view mirror just like everything else on the road.

I'll be 60 next October. I own for 9 years an already 18 years old 06 Gen 1 and have done over 105 k km / 65 k miles with it. Amazing machine. Also, having other bikes, I don't see myself getting bored with it, and which bike could replace it unless a Gen 2.

I recently sold my 2020 zzr1400 ps and instantly regretted it, although I have a gen3 busa, h2 2015, so to replace it I got a h2 sx 23, it's a great bike but there's nothing out there to replace the mighty zzr1400, there's no replacement for displacement 😅 there's a lovely new anniversary zzr1400 in America 😊

As a ZH2 owner I can't believe you didn't include the H2 SX as being in the newer "replacement" for the ZZR1400. It'll match/better the ZZR1400 and the Hayabusa in just about every circumstance. Bikes like these can never get boring. If you think they're getting boring you're riding it in the wrong places. Book a Euro-tour, take it on some different roads and find that there is almost nothing (on tarmac) that it can't do. It is only the chance to experience other bikes that could mean it's time to move it on.

Hi. I am on my 5th ZZR 1400. I bought my first in 2010 then had a 2011 model , then 15,17 and now a late 18 model PS . In between I’ve had other bikes but the ZZR always has that draw . I have not ridden it much since but I g it last Sept but that’s because I had a new Goldwing to which now has gone back . I’m hoping now that down to one bike I’ll use it more. I’m hoping in the future Kawasaki bring out something like a 1500 version of this or more with a bigger HP. I very much doubt it now that the H2 is out but here’s living in hope

I have had my Honda cbr 600f4i since 2013 and I'm definitely not bored of riding her. It's an amazing bike.its my 3rd Honda cbr 600f4i model that I have owned. I have also owned the fx model which I for 3 years. Before that I had a 1991 Honda cbr 600 fm. So basically I have been riding Honda cbr 600s since 1991. For me if you find a bike that suits your requirements why change a bike that I can do track days on long distance touring holidays and ride 2 up in comfort

I've done about 350 miles twice on the zx-14r straight with a couple of short breaks. I thought it would tire me more than it actually did. I've only got 1.5cm bar risers. In this format at least it is definitely tourable.

I owned a 2015 model. I loved it to bits BUT I got bored of it after 5 years and 50K KM on it. I sold it for a GS and regreted that decision. I sold my GS away after 1.5 years. I am waiting for a test ride for the 2024 XR. I don't think Kawasaki is going to update the zx14r and will probably kill it soon. I'd love to own them all but I call a tiny island and worlds most expensive place, my home.

Much (but not all) of the time, boredom is a frame of mind - if you can get bored of a ZX-14R, you could be bored by a Concorde. I've got one bike, a '96 VFR750 that I bought used 20-something years ago. Bored? Me?

I was looking for my first litre bike and the 2021 model of this was on my list, ended up buying the ninja 1000sx since it was a bit smaller and less intimidating, I wonder how much of a step up the ZX14 is compared to the 1000sx

Keep it. How the hell do you get bored of that? I’m an owner of a new 23’ left over. I owned Hayabusas most my life but the 14r is more comfortable and predictable. The fact if you own one and are keeping it you have to upgrade the oil pump, clutch, dump the anchor of and exhaust get it tuned. I can tell you having a cruiser, m109r, was boring. The power difference between the 14r and the Hayabusa is the gearing. The stock 14 pulls harder than any busa I ever owned, stock. My dyno tuned busa would hang but no. I’m 6’4 250lbs, so the bigger CC on the 14 is more potent. I’d lower the rear sprocket, and run w a busa off the line , and smoke it top end. Trust me I love the busa, but the 14r is superior as far as performance and comfort.

Not sure, with Ulez going totally all out and hitting all over the country, it wont be ULEZ compliant after this year.. Am I bored? Absolutely not, I would love to keep this forever..I still get a thrill from.riding the bike, When you open the bike up and change gear at high revs, the true spirit of the bike is shown..Best bike , Ive ever owned...

Hey snakeman. I'm posting the same comment (in quotes below) that I replied to in another comment. Wanted you to see this because you said "When you open the bike up and change gear at high revs ...". If I do that now after Ivan's ECU flash it's an insane (in a good way) experience. Tons of satisfaction now occurs even way before you get near the top end of the tach. "If you still have the stock ECU and live in the states, please consider Ivans Performance ECU flash. I bought a 2017 model new and although I liked it, I was somewhat bored with it after the first day, especially in the low to mid-range. @markwest9119 I'm in England, but I have considered a flash , in England we have ULEZ(Ultra Low Emission Zones) enter these zones, which are popping up everywhere, and your emissions don't meet the set Emissions standards(which the zzr1400 does, but won't next year)you get a charge..next year, they're raising the emission standards. They are also considering pay per mile.. Welcome to Socialist England..
