And all the Deamons yelled “raaaaiiiid”. Lol. Idk how old you are but like 20-30 years ago the raid commercials on Tv all the roaches would yell “raid” and boom 💥 they would explode. Would be cool if that happened to all The deamons at once

Question: Can an Eldari be infected by a Nurgle Plague? And if so what does that look like? Does their soul go to Nurgle? Can Nurgle steal souls away just like he stole Isha?

I don’t see why not, dark Eldar have been known to succumb to Nurgle’s rot. Nurgle’s power doesn’t really work by disease but, rather by despair. That might be why certain Xenos are more resistant to Nurgle’s plagues than humans.

@@hexkwondowhat do you mean it doesn’t work by disease ? He makes diff diseases to spread around , I know he likes people to despair then turn to him I get that but he does it through disease and Rot .. I’m newer to 40k only like 3 months now but I literally hVe been reading and watching hours of videos daily. I can’t believe I never herd of it sooner. Awesome lore. I’ve herd of D&D like 35 years ago when I was 5 years old but warhammer I’d new for me.

Can you explain why nurgle chose the deathguard
@abeelvago
@abeelvago 2 жыл бұрын
probaly because they were known for their endurance and survival aptitudes, meaning, good at staying alive, characteristics favoured by Nurgle

Mortarion's origin story and fall help explain this. To begin with, each Primarch has different strengths and weaknesses that are also apparent in their warriors. In Mortarion's case he landed on Barbarus when he and his brothers were scattered through the universe. Barbarus was planet full of 'overlords' that were necromancers of origin. High overlord Necare named him Mortarion ('Child of Death') and placed him in a tower at the edge of the noxious gasses that inhabited the planet. Now he already had larger immunity than his brothers, but this was increased by this lengthy exposure over time. The whole time was torturous though. Now this is all important if you look at the way Nurgle operates. Think of it like the moment where Will Turner (Pirates of the Carribean) encounters his dad onboard the cursed Black Pearl, embedded in the ship itself through his long stay onboard. Nurgle tends to do the same to both objects and people. The ship of the Death Guard, for example, is also a living being. This is where the 'fall' of Mortarion comes into play, through treachery by his first in command: Typhus (what's in a name....). Typhus' story is the catalyst that makes the Death Guard be inflicted by the Destroyer Hive (plague), and you really need to read the book to fully appreciate that moment where Mortarion realizes the jig is up and both Typhus and Nurgle have him cornered. He eventually submits, and his army becomes what it now is. Still it was somewhat important that even before corruption by Nurgle, the Death Guard were much more immune to disease than the other Space Marines. Which made their bodies much more interesting to corrupt and build upon, for they held on longer. In one of the books you can actually read the interaction of one of the plague marines having caught a human prisoner and imprisoned him. Almost working like a kind of voodoo-doll by keeping his heart in a pouch. It makes for such great, harrowing stories. I only recently realized that Mortarion also has some aspects of a 'certain historic Russian monk' who dealt in poisons, and drank them to make himself immune. In the books - after winning a battle - the Death Guard celebrate the 'greatest warrior' of that battle by inviting him to a post-match drink with the Primarch, which is a custom poison made by him. I really can't recommend the 'Lords of Silence' novel enough, combined with the recent battles of Mortarion with Guilliman in Dark Imperium. It really shows how incredibly sneaky Nurgle works his tendrils across the universe, slowly corrupting everything, but also regrowing continuously. Lastly: what makes them interesting as well, is (at least for me) both Mortarion and Magnus are examples of Primarchs having to sacrifice themselves in order for their legion to survive, having no other option than to accept chaos or be ended. By now they are both demons and do evil things, but Mortarion himself (as well as Magnus) are initially not the conniving, spooky figures they later become (nor do they intend to be). I found it super-interesting (as you can tell ;)

Question: Why do people seem to hate the iron hands? Its a shame that Manus died so soon in the heresy but not enough people seem to actually read into him, often believing him to be all muscle & no brains. What do you guys think? Will you guys look more into the Iron Hands & Manus (not the iron warriors lmao).
