Even though normal space marine recruits die just as often or more so than primaris marines would. Since they already have implants that make them very resilient three more implants wont be that bad.

foxglos no it worse..... the beginning of the book is good. Really really really good. Astartes getting mind wiped after every mission, dark angels apothicarions experimenting on the primaris to find out just how they tick and if they can then be used to enhance the existing first company. And finding out the best ways to kill primaris marines...... Then the last three pages just made me want to use the book as toilet paper, burn it to ash and flush it down the toilet...... it could have been so epic

The thing I don’t like is that GW put chaos as the major threat more so than any other race.

I never use primaris in my games. Just so happens I tend to win over people who use them.

i mean, we're talking about space marines, here, being able to make the orgasm for like 10,000+ primaris isn't " mass production" when taken on the scale of the Imperium of man. And really in total its not that much work for cal to start pumping out the required orgasm once he has then working up to his standards. Heck all the other organs for space marines are already " mass produced" its just the restrictions and rejection rates and the death of potential recruits that keeps their numbers low not the availability of said organs , espciasly the geneseed

@@sirpieman300 umm that is not really the point I was making. making a couple hundreds of thousands of new gene seed for the imperium of course wouldn't be a problem. I'm talking about stakes, sacrifice and storytelling aspect of the primaris. Which make me iffy. They just pop out without any sacrifice on the imperium part. For example Thor lose his eyes, hammer, people and take the full force of a star to gain a new weapon. That is storytelling arc. I actually like how some chapter were distrustful of the Primaris and how they were so angry but essentially one guy shout down the every Astartes chapters there is about this issue and they become OK with it. Those were some prime grounds for some high stakes astartes vs astartes stories and fluff. Like the terminator armour and titan for example. It takes tremendous effort, sacrifice and lose of certain aspect of humanity to control them. Essentially Primaris are just better, stronger and safer version of astartes that won't succumb to geneseed defects at all. It would been fine if warhammer wasn't grimdark at all. Like for example the use of psykers in the imperium was a seriously contentious issue which set off Magnus fall and the Primaris evade all danger to their existence just like that? Essentially Primaris are stronger and safer than regular astartes but there are not much sacrifice on their part to become better than regular SM It is just jam 3 more organs into them. I can't respect the Primaris like that. Maybe we are spoilt by the other grimdark stories but this is my take on Primaris. It can be written better.

I agree with you, it feels kinda of an asspull. Guiliman coming back is pretty cool though, I think it would be nicer if he brought newer weapons and armor for the old Marines, instead of coming up with this primaris thing.

Doubt it, primaris marines lore whise are stronger than a normal marine in all aspects, same thing for chaos soace marines, in the lore they are equal to normal marines but buffed with the power of the warp, instead of making primaris chaos it seems morr lijely now that GW is launching new models amd rules for Csm so they rival primaris in strength, and are as strong as they should be like in the lore.

Lore wise there are a couple of ways they could go. It’s entirely possible for a chapter of primaris to turn to chaos. A chaos warband defeats a loyalist chapter and steals a bunch of the new gene seed for themselves. Or Fabius bile rolls out his own version of gene seed for his new men since he just got his hands on several dozen thousand pure emperors children gene seed

There are 3 main hives. Behemoth, kraken and leviathan. Then a dozen or so major splinter fleets that either broke off before or splintered off when the main fleet was defeated. Hydra, chronos and ouroboros off the top of my head

@@Marinealver 3 guardsman is the biggest underestimation of how much a space marine is worth I've seen. 3 guardsman could barley kill an ork knob, a space marine is able to 1v1 a knob and win 8 times out of 10

I would suggest looking for some old deathwing bits or whole terminators in pewter. These are old but with some new 40mm bases and mixed with newer plastic terminators will give you more variety in an all terminator army. P.S. As I write this some e-bay ads have 2 for ten dollars US and dark angels upgrade sprue for 10-15. hope this helps.
