This class is part 1 of a 7-part Chakra Series. We start with our Root Chakra (Muladhara in Sanskrit), which is our center of stability, safety, and survival. Throughout this class we'll focus on poses and practices that both challenge and help build our sense of stability and rootedness in our bodies and lives. The root chakra is associated with the color red, the earth, and is located at the base of your spine.

Helen, I want you to know that your classes has saved my spirit and with that my life. Instead feeling separated from everything, I am now feeling my connection with the earth and all sentient beings around me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so happy and grateful for the existence of Yoga Floating School. Your voice Helen, your rhythm, the energy of the students, which is so vivid to me, everything is at the right place and time. Hi Helen! So , no modifications but I'm still a bit sleepy ;). Interesting - I usually have trouble with squat but coming into the pose on tippy toes and staying with the heels lifted made the pose much more accessible. I love what you said at the end about surviving all the worst days so far - I'm going to share that one. Namaste!

Thank you... Today I was able to put my foot on my thigh, I'm tree pose. I was only able to put it on my calves. These advancements happened naturally!!!! 😊

Thankyou for this classes... Im grateful to join this thankyou for sharing with all of us... So much love to you...... 1 question, how much time it takes to awaken one chakraa... We have to continue to practice for root chakra until we not clearfy this is awake or we can practice all chakras yoga continue? It will be grateful if you reply🙏🏻❤

Thank you! Lots of core and shoulder strengthening will help and then it's playing around with building confidence - I like to try new things in the grass or on carpet so it's not as scary to fall!

I started with your chakra yoga yesterday and now I’m working my way up starting from the root and working my way up. I put a red jasper in my sports bra for good effect too 🤣

hi, I've been doing yoga videos 3-4 times a week for the last 10 years, and I start to feel pain here and there. Not because of the yoga, because of sitting work and ageing. :) docs always give me excercises which are included in your sessions anyway. My biggest issue is that flow, when we do forward bend, thhen prepare, then forward bend and straighten up. This doesn't feel good at all, mainly because my hamstrings are tight and it is hard to keep my back straight while standing up, and a nerve on my back keeps pinched in. Is there any good solution to this? I do it with my knees bent which puts a lot of pressure onto the back of my thighs.

I'm sorry to hear! Knees bent was going to be my suggestion, but if it doesn't feel great I would try placing your hands on your legs and slowly rolling up instead of standing with a flat back?
