This was the best string staccato/spiccato string comparison I've come across. Excellent. Maybe add any new stand out libraries as they come out.

Audio Imperia (Areia, Nucleus, Jaeger) is the clear winner here, with MS Adventure Strings and Afflatus as contenders. Many, such as CineStrings and especially Orchestral Essential 1 , have a nice sound but lack that bite needed.

Thank you so much for all these demonstrations and for the work that must have gone into making it all. For me, the top 3 libraries on video that made me shiver the most were: 2) Project SAM Orchestral Essential 1 3) STREZOV AFFLATUS 4) Spitfire Audio Albion II Loegria Yup. The top 1 is unfortunately not in the video and that's what I came looking for to listen to the staccato/spiccato, Orchestral Tools Berlin Strings haha :) ------------------------------ // ------------------------------ >>> EDIT 04-02-2023

Project Sam OE1 is such a light library and yet so great... RAM literally won't feel it, the quality tho is amazing i agree

I like Adventure Strings and Areia the most out of these! My personal favorite layer right now is Cinematic Studio Strings and Adventure Strings, for the roominess of CSS but the tight attack of Adventure. Out of all the libraries you have, do you have any particular layers you like?

8dio majestica has always stood out to me as supremely epic. I usually layer Albion 1 and majestica.

Very underrated library! Only Cons are: Very heavy library! Also, the mic control Is not as good as i would expect (considering the price). Amazing library tho

@@michelemasincomposer can I ask you about majestica (ultra version), does it have all orchestra sections split, or are they as ensembles and secondly, just wondering how extensive their brass library is? Thanks. Loved the demo, really appreciate.

@@ritchxmusic there is no divisi, woodwinds and brasses are "divisi" in High brass and Low brass, pretty crazy considering the price and the overall quality!. The Brasses are pretty good I personally like them, but again, no divisi. So you find the ensamble short, long and fx

They sound great Indeed. I experienced latency problem using some of their libraries. Id consider try It first to make sure everything Is ok. But yas! Great stuff

@@michelemasincomposer Their libraries come with a "sound start" adjustment in the advanced section. It is meant to make the attack more realistic but it causes a delay. It is recommended to set it to zero when you want to play them in real time. Are you sure it wasn't because of that?

probably you noticed later on: some libraries change the articulation with the modulation

Qualty of the samples doesnt change with modulation. btw sir modulation is middle-high for all the samples. Enjoy the video Blu3 Cat

Wow - how did you make all of them sound so good. Only VSL - which I own (Synchron Strings) - sounds not good. Which is your favorite?

Difficult to choose only one, I'd say depend on your type of recording and the music genre. I must say tho that I love Fluid shorts, adventure, cinestrings and all the Audio imperial

Performance Strings sounds good (among others like Adventure Strings, Afflatus and Majestica), but it has a strange (and thus distracting) reverb. Is that baked in the samples?

I removed when really too much the hall reverb and kept their original Reverb yas!
