@@BootjeBodhi it's true , gs 450h has similar power and performance to gs 460 v8 but fuel consumption is lower, similar to 2.5l 6cylinder crown or lower ,only down side is hi-po lithium batteries are expensive to replace, apart from that they pretty reliable if you service and maintain .

@@afrospartanwarrior531 i know, my dad owns one, the fuel consumption on the other side isn't great at all. It's pure a hybrid for power, not for fuel consumption. It drives 1-9 (km)

@@BootjeBodhi that would be right luxury hybrid sports car for performance over fuel consumption, makes sense @ 1940kgs it's pretty heavy, been wanting to get one of these puppies but have been warned of heefty price for batteries once they need replacing , been told crown athlete 3.5l v6 are good value for money are reliable a lil thirsty but worth it .

@@afrospartanwarrior531 we had a 98' gs300 first, never had problems with it and made like 600k miles with it. Had a 2jz in it and ran great !

The GS 450h definitely has a split personality: really relaxing and smooth on long drives but it can really MOVE when it needs to. Too bad Lexus doesn't make the 450h anymore. Unless they bring out another performance sedan I'm going to keep driving mine until it falls apart - which *might* happen around 2035 or so...

Put on S or 5 gear mode with Power mode. It will fly without changing gear. I put the RS3 to shame a few days back.

Get to 30mph, switch to Sport+ and manual mode, shift into 1st "gear" and floor it. It's hilarious. Not sure about the old gen but the new one has awesome handling too, won't actually corner that quickly but the low, rear battery placement means it's got awesome balance. Sounds best at about half throttle, either over 60mph or in 1st from 30 upwards and half throttle is plenty...

gs450h running 13's fuckin very good (ITS A HYBRID GUYS!) nismo running 10s... are there aftermarket performance upgrades for the 450h? or arethey already on these cars that ran?

@@JC130676 I have now driven my 2006 GS 450h 345 000 km and it will still do 0 - 263 km/h in 30,3 sec., same as when it was new.

Look like they were on bad tyres too.

He just let off after shifting into 3rd gear, cruizing down the rest of the track. I don't know why. That thing can easily run low 10s on a good track.
