Tom Brady pimps out his 04 Cherokee instead of buying new, what a class act.

Recommendation from someone that has bought eBay headlights in the past, seal them with silicone on the outer edges because they tend to sweat inside the headlight housings, they also sometimes leak water in when you wash the truck or it rains. They look pretty freaking sweet both the front and the back.

In case anyone wants ideas on exhaust for these.. the Thrush Welded sounds absolutely perfect.

Great video! The old WJs really look good with a little updating. I have a '99 WJ that I updated. Really fun to work on. I did it all if you want any advice. New 2.5 lift, shocks, springs, wheels/ tires, headlights, taillights, exhaust, throttle body, programmer, stereo system, blacked- out emblems, mini RV conversion, etc. Good luck with yours!

You should thoroughly check the headlights and taillights for being waterproof. Especially where the lens is glued to the body. A lot of the inexpensive aftermarket lights tend to leak. You can also get an electronically controlled flasher unit that will cure the hyper Flash. It's way easier than adding ballast resistors to each corner of the vehicle.

Nice example of refreshing the old ride with a few after market parts to make it feel like new. I probably would have used a sound measuring device (I'm sure you can get a phone app that could approximate the same function) to test which add on was loudest, of course between the garage and the road there'll always be a difference.

I just purchased a 2004 DubJ with 71,000 miles, and the first thing I installed was a Millennial Anti-Theft Device. I changed the transmission from an automatic to a manual transmission. Nice video, THANKS

The taillight "winking" is actually a problem with the brake lights contact either being misaligned or worn out, I bent mine back and soldered it a little bit to make the contact larger and it fixed the issue of the brake light not working when the headlights are on

17:42 if you are hanging your exhaust off the frame with that strapping you are going to get an annoying buzz in the cab. The exhaust has rubber hangers for a reason. There are aftermarket rubber hangers that isolate the exhaust from the body.

I bought a set of Depot projector headlights for my ex 95 Neon coupe. One of the biggest lighting upgrades I have ever seen in that car. Unfortunately it ate the timing belt and it wasn't worth fixing again with the crap paint and high mileage so gave it away. I kept the headlights and they are now worth more than the Neon was as is. Good part is I ended up with my lil sisters low miles 06 hemi Charger RT cheap. 👌Very quick for such a heavy car. I plan to upgrade the headlights to projectors on the Charger as well and Depo and many others make nice sets. I would recommend making sure whatever you get is DOT approved and has decent reviews and warranty. Nice to see some car content to mix things up. Definitely get another full tail pipe setup all the way to the bumper, it'll be a lot quieter and keep the exhaust from rotting stuff underneath and coming into the Jeep.

I have 2000 Jeep WJ I have the same head lights and taillights - looks good man , the tail lights definitely are not street legal. Even with LEDs they are dark , I set the led side lights on mine to come on with the brakes, I also bought a $25 led 60” tailgate light strip that I wired to the brake and running and back up lights and ran it along the rear bumper to better insure people could see when I brake. I intend to do a lot more to it. I look forward to seeing what else you do to yours.

Seems like those rain guards may just fly off since the adhesive was coming off with the tape... Might be good to get some real 3M double sided adhesive and re-do all of those guards. Just... ya know... IMO.

I would've kept the stock exhaust piping going out the back, trust me even with the glasspack you had on it, if you kept the original piping you would've had the great sound with zero drone. Anything is going to drone being dumped under the cabin really

New headlights and tail can def go along way. Luckily my wj already had both swapped but urs look clean af. I litery have the same white.

In my state the tail pipe has to extend all the way back to the rear bumper to keep fumes from entering the cabin. Do not run your car while camping in the back without running a proper and longer tailpipe.

That black bed liner on the bottom panels were a game changer for the jeeps appearance.

You should get a reverse flag for the passenger's side.

Could you link to the led side marker, parking, and turn signal led bulbs you got? Those 194 leds on the side markers are absurdly bright for 5watts.

I have the same tail lights on my 2004 but I didn't get the smoked look. Mine are clear with black housings. I've had them for 2 years and never wired the LED's haha! This makes me want to do it. I guess you can choose either the brake or parking wire to wire to. The tail lights have been excellent so far. My VIPMotoz headlights have not been the best. One low beam has failed. Gonna upgrade to the Akkon bar LED style soon.

Definitely try to extend the exhaust back to its stock length it will still sound nice and be way safer for the engine

How long did your paint last on your bumpers and side plastics?

The Inja hey you may want to find out if the lenses are UV protected. I bought a pair of new lense covers for my truck tail lights and they turn solid yellow in a few months. Almost can't see the tail lights during the day. Not saying they are all the same but might save you a hassle later trying to buff them out. I've seen uv protection or 2k clear coats that will protect the plastic. Just a thought.

Just got a 2000 wj limited for free! Mine doesn’t have the black bumpers, can I paint over the gold/tan with the bed liner? How many cans did you use?

They vent shades that go up into the window channel that fit and stay alot better

What led bulb did you put in the highbeam. I have the same brand on my Nissan and the higbeam pattern is awful with leds

3 inch tip was on the 4.7L PowerTech V8 options.

You have the exact headlights and taillights set that I have on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee! Just a tip from my experience you might want to put some LEDs on the brake lights bc they will overheat eventually and it will bubble up and burn the inside of your taillights

What are you t tapping the red wires too and what are you t tapping the white wire too

Topcoat the bed liner. It doesn't have UV protection. If you don't it'll fade to a dingy grey in a couple months.

You could always upgrade your tail lights to led, I got a set of Amazon lights and yeah pretty dim

Cool lights. I feel like a bigger, and about $370 cheaper upgrade would've been to get rod of the window stickers in the back and go over all the bumpers and trim with for example Gtechniq C4

For all of you making comments on the exhaust, many of us run Dumps and most major after exhaust companies build the same. I ran dump pipes on a Ranger, Dakota, Rav4, Tacoma, Suburban, and my Mustang. He’s closer to the axle than some of the flow master and mbrp units I’ve run. Only thing is I would have pulled the downstream cat. :) Great little build. So happy you redid the moldings. And for the others mocking the older vehicle. Why? My 14 year old truck has first and second row heated seats, park power folding mirrors, Blu-ray and Apple carplay, navigation, power lift gate, remote start, blah blah blah and cost me far less then a new Mitsubishi Mirage G4. Keep it up bud.

I bought the higher dollar headlights you showed. Only problem is that they are plug and play, and the LED bar plugs into where the middle turn signal bulb was. So they always hyper flash, and throws a "turn signal on" code in the cab. But they give it a mean look.

Looks at OE headlight assemblies for 80 bucks on amazon. Meanwhile it's 30 a piece on RockAuto bulbs included.

Yeah I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee LIMITED I rebuilt every thing in I just put another engine which is the second engine I bought for it ..I put the factory headlights on they miss up on me so got to buy another set I spent 11,000 putting my jeep together

Get some switchback led bulbs for the front two turn signal bulbs. White for running lights and Amber orange for turn signal. There only $7-$9 a set.

One more vote for extending the exhaust. It's droning because the sound waves are bouncing between the body and the ground, and keeping the exhaust fumes out of the cabin is necessary because CO poisoning sucks.

heat seal connects. connect halos to parking light. Nice vid. in channel window guards have a cleaner look.. Still looking good. after spending cheaply on exhaust, you could have had a very nice FlowMaster.. just sayin..
