It's so much more relatable to us common guys out here that don't have big incomes or sponsors to supply parts so we can really build the fast cars like many of the guys run today. It just shows that the guys like Shawn truly are "car" lovers, of every make and model and that Shawn remembers very well where he came from and that he wasn't gifted a silver spooned pro mod when he was 16 and the unlimited budget to build n repair it!! I love the fact that Shawn n phantom just want to work on the shop n build neat fun stuff and teach the kids how to do it as well so that we've got some young blood coming into the sport. I'm really happy that Shawn n phantom have had the opportunities thay they have had over the past ten years or so and we've witnessed their rise to fame and growth in the automotive world but they still remember where they came from and are still down to earth normal guys like us that love turning wrenches where most guys that reach Shawn's level of success become different people and are unapproachable by us normal guys but Shawn n Phantom are as humble as you can get and I absolutely love that. I'm a disabled Desert Storm Vet and some days get super hard and are almost too much for any one man to physically/mentally take but it's guys like Shawn n Phantom that give us the strength to pull thru another day cause they've proven that just a couple of country boys from BFE that used to have to scrape together gas and parts money can have a lucky break and do well and it just gives me enough hope to keep fight another day! I have a 91 Jeep Grand Wagoneer identical to Shawn's white woody wagon that I've had for 16 years now and I'm in process of putting a new engine in it right now so I can get it back on the road where it should be. Im not able to swing the LS swap like Shawn did to his but hopefully one day before my body runs out of time I can swap it and experience the truck run n drive the way it should have been from the factory. It's a completely rust free body that is in beautiful condition and it's my ultimate dream that I can repower the truck with an LS or Hemi drivetrain and have an incredible truck and it's cause of all the guys in this video that keep my dream alive from year to year and I appreciate each and every one of them for being honest, hardworking, patriotic, and loyal family men that just want to build cars and have a great time doing it all! Thank you Shawn n Phantom and everyone in this video for keeping our dreams alive for another day!! Y'all are incredibly awesome!! Take care and God bless ya all!!

@will perry creative - Old school drag racing fan here (also just plain old lol). The no prep scene is the most exciting thing to happen to drag racing since the days of the wild fuel altereds. The short wheelbases and high horsepower engines made for super exciting, unpredictable racing. The no prep scene is similar in that the big tire cars still use steel bodies (roof and rear quarters at least) and stock wheelbases with ridiculously high horsepower on ever changing, unpredictable surfaces. The amount of constant tuning changes that go into it are astonishing also. There's also this sort of anti-establishment element to it that I kind of liken to the time period when the UFC was on the rise, and challenging the old Boxing establishment in terms of popularity. It really reminds me of that time period a lot...Boxing was good at doing ONE thing. UFC on the other hand was good at doing MULTIPLE things. It's really kind of similar in a way, to traditional drag racing vs no prep. But anyway. The big tire NPK type stuff is FAR from the only exciting no prep stuff going on. There's a HUGE small tire world that are SUPER fast these days and very competitive, plus all the back of the track type races, really there's just SO much quality-shot content showing up on youtube these days, it's a drag racing fan's dream. There's new stuff constantly uploaded every week practically and I get to watch racing almost nonstop. It's awesome!

It's in the making. You know he has a crazy schedule with racing. So he doesn't really have the time to focus on Big Wheel racing just yet.... When that car gets dialed in and he can trace the same in this class as his regular class. This is going to be a major gap bridged in the world of drag racing 💯

There are 3000hp gtrs. Many powerful Porsches but in general the v8 is the most powerful. And always has been. How longs the NHRA been around with 12000 hp. Quite some time now. make no sense man. And the v8 has always been good.
