After my Visit to Uruk, The next stop was this ancient Ziggurat of Ur! Mind blowing history here! the Pope actually came here in 2021 for a visit, Abraham from the bible had a house here from what i was told. The guard called his boss to ask if we were allowed to go into the area where the royal tombs were! quite unbelievable and the old cuneiform writing in the clay looked like it had just been done!
this Ziggurat and the temple on top were built around 2100BC, by King Ur-Nammu of the third Dynasty of Ur for the moon god Nanna! The royal tombs were just fascinating and again mind blowing history!

The interpreter couldn't translate properly Qethara means lyres. What the guard said is the archaeologist in 1920s discovered the famous Sumerian lyres that belongs to Queen Pu Abi who died 2400BC. Also her dad grave and her husband King. Queen Pu Abi is the first know queen in history and the first female ruler. She is famous for her jewellery (now kept in The British Museum in London) alongwith 2 of lyres the diamond made one and the golden one. The wooden Lyres is in Paris and Baghdad in the museums.

*The Sumerian civilization is one of the ancient civilizations that was the first to discover writing and numbers.* *It is located in southern Iraq.* *Its history is known from clay tablets written in cuneiform. The name Sumer appeared at the beginning of the third millennium BC. M ... and it was their own and they invented writing on clay, which is texts on clay tablets*

*The Sumerian harp (also known as the lyre of Sumer or the lyre of Ur), is a musical instrument with strings, and is considered to be the oldest stringed musical instrument in history. Between 1922 and 1934, one of them contained a bull's head and its foot dates back to about 4500 BC.* *These guitars show that music was a valuable thing in "Mesopotamia/Iraq", and it was used to sing the hymns of the gods. He discovered several bodies of women who had in their hands the remains of guitar strings and frames, as well as gold and silver pieces stuck to them.* *The Sumerian harp was found in Ur in southern "Mesopotamia/Iraq" in the tomb of Queen Shabaad, and it dates back to the time of Queen Bu Abi Shabaad 2450 BC. It was found in 1929 AD, and it is located in the Iraqi Museum of Antiquities (Al-Sumeriat Hall) in Baghdad.*

unfortunately it was damaged during the iraqi war, but was saved from being looted by being placed in a chest with other treasures from nimrud in the iraqi national bank's basement vault. it was protected from looting by being flooded. recovered after with the help of a national geographic expedition featuring lisa ling. search for Ultimate Explorer: Iraq's Lost Treasure.

About 3000 historical artifacts and objects are still missing from coordinated looting during the opening days of the wars. Cylinders were apparently a target of groups that had insider knowledge of precisely where they were stored.

The Babylonian state (the ancient Iraq) was a large, vast and mighty imperial state, and it was an impenetrable dam and long withstood against the greed, aggression and aggression of the Iranian Iranian-Persian Sassanids. While northern Iraq, including the Kurdish and Assyrian areas, were occupied by the Persians for hundreds of years Before their occupation of central and southern Iraq, the Arab Ahwaz were affiliated to the Babylonian Kingdom of Iraq, and even the areas of the Persian Gulf coasts from Kuwait, the eastern region of Saudi Arabia today, Bahrain and Qatar occupied the Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, and even the coasts and banks of Yemen (it was affiliated to the empire of the Babylonian state).

You're mixing up current and historical facts. First, Kurds are not Arabs. They are Iranian. Their language, customs, genetics are all Iranian. They have nothing in common with dark skinned Arabs from the south. Iraq became a country in 1932 after the fall of Ottoman Turks. There was no Babylonian kingdom of Iraq, it was Babylonia where innocent people including Jews were taken into slavery and harsh treatment. I think the Persian King Cyrus captured Babylon and freed everyone. He freed the Jewish slaves and helped them to returned the to their homeland and he also helped them to rebuild their temple that was destroyed by the Babylonians. Now that's a history you can be proud of.

@@RelivingHistory1 they've got to be related. The ancient Indus script is similar to that of mesopotamian and Egyptian cuneiform script with fish, arrow , wheels as frequently recurring symbols in their writing. Ur is extremely ancient Dravidian word always referred to inhabitation. Even to this day ur is used as suffix in majority place names in south India and western India.
