So, I bought my very first Volkswagen a few weeks ago. I've owned 56 cars since I was a teenager, and this is my first VW. I've never really been a fan because the VWs that I've been around never really...ran, let alone been reliable. My Golf is nowhere near being anything cool or interesting, it's a Mk4 Golf 2.0 8 valve with a 5 speed manual. It's slow, it's boring to drive, but it's sitting on black 16" Drag wheels with a polished lip, 205/40/R16 Pirelli tires, and the body is seriously painted matte black with Raptor bedliner. If you don't know what that is, look it up on Google. I bought it for $500 from a friend, and have had to replace damn near everything on it. The only good part is that it runs GREAT and shifts smooth. The clutch is a little tired, but grabs like it should. After all, that 2.0 isn't going to be producing any torque at all. There's no point to rev it over 4k RPM because it falls flat on it's face after that. Boy, oh boy what I wouldn't give for a VR6 manual swap, or even the 1.8t. However, watching videos like this give me ideas on how to modify my Golf to be even remotely cool.

A stock 280hp Evo6 can fell a loot faster, but golf is not an drivers car, its an confortable city car, not a sports a car even with 500hp it will understeer and never be a true drivers car..

i agree, i used to own a S3 stage 2+ with everything done before upgrading to a bigger turbo so around 360-375 hp from a K04 and it was for sure faster than what this car is.

Because a mk V GTI it s 200hp and a 30 edition is 230 Hp and a Golf 6 R engine is 270 Hp stock,so what is easy to tune to 400hp a 200 Hp engine,a 230 Hp engine or a 270 Hp engine?

I think the owner did on purpose for insurance, or he was probably under 25 so he can insure it. In holland you cant insure if ur under 25 or have more than 5years no accident points.

The reason why I rated it 3/5 is that the brake calipers dont really match with the colours of the car but overall I liked the dsg gear nob and the golf mk 7 steering wheel edit: I chose 5/5 for performance because it's like a go cart when it turns it's so effortless and its surprisingly fast
