I got a call once. I simply googled what he ay saying and told him he was a scam. He said Fuck you and hung up. I then called his number probably about a thousand times within a week literally harassing him, literally saying the most triggering things in the world to that POS. I Never got a call again.

Thankfully no one in my family has ever fallen for any of the nonsense from those idiots, even before finding Kit) because seeing the innocent people that get scammed is horrible. So thankful we have been fortunate enough to not have any of these things happen to us.

May be a few months late, but I have some tips. I am, however, not a fraud analyst. Just someone who has read other article and other scams. First and foremost, if THEY call you and ASK for ANY of your personal information, it is a scam. If you receive an email from someone that you do not recognize, ignore it and mark it as spam. NEVER CLICK ANYTHING ON THE EMAILS YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE. Should you receive an email or message from your personal bank or other financial institution, but you have a gut feeling that something that maybe something is truly wrong, YOU call the official number of said institution. However, DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER PROVIDED ON THE EMAIL OR VOICE-MAIL. Those are fraudulent numbers. Google the official number of your bank and then call them. This goes for everything else. If you've received an email from Amazon, you call their official number on Google. Even better, use the customer's service on their app. There are ways to call them at the cost of a few seconds of your time. If they call you and you are met with a recording, it's a dead give away scam. As for the scam that Kitboga covers, if they ask for a gift card, it's a scam. It's all common sense and you have the power to just walk away if your gut says no. Keep asking them questions if you want to. I've received multiple phone calls and I just start singing Whitney Houstons I Will Always Love You. Sometimes I make orgasm sounds. Sometimes I scream and blow their eardrums. Bottom line, common sense. It's the older generation that needs more care for as they are more susceptible to these scams.

@@MyFornow don't use google to get "official numbers." This is one way scammers get victims. They buy the google result position. Go to the actual company/bank website to get the number. Don't google for the numbers. (This is how i encountered a scammer. I was like "if you're amazon, you are my account, you dont need to connect to my computer or ask for my password. You should already have my password" i told them they were a scam, that i was reporting them and i hung up on them.

Suzi Dunn I was getting them 5 times a day for a week 2 weeks ago. Every number they called me from was a spoof number with Texas area codes. I let every call go to voicemail and then I tried calling a couple back and they were spoof numbers. I blocked every number
